At Moonbeam Beach
I saw the dead of my family beckon to me. They appeared upon a grey-hued ocean shore, drifting on the tide, robed in rags, hunched within a wooden row-boat. They called to me, encouraged me to be one of them before the ebb tide carried them away. Falling under their spell, I felt compelled to be among them, in that cold drear. They drew near, floating on the last breath of the flood-tide. One reached out for me, talons twisted and thin. Repelled, I drew back, and threw my weakened body to the dampened sand. The claw-like hand sought me, scuttled crabwise toward my body. As it scratched the surface of my skin, I heard the dead of my family shriek, a leak of anguish, as the tide changed, and they ebbed away. Safe, I hastened from the misty beach, and found asylum in the arms of a mountain stream.

Seriously though, I have no taste for poetry whatsoever. Can't fucking stand it in any shape or form. I am fond of literature so I appreciate the tone and vocabulary of your shit, as well as the obvious message in there. But I - can't - stand - poetry!

:P hehe - it's based on an old superstition... don't bury the dead when the tide is ebbing or their souls will be transported to foreign lands. :D
