there's records of the romans crucifying jesus. as for jesus being the son of god and a witchety magic man, that's all bullshit. you should also go look at the newest issue of popular mechanics where they debunk bible stories. the bible is a big book of ethics and morals filled with a bunch of "interesting" stories just so people will stay interested. when i used to have to go to church (damn you mother!), i learned that it's good for sleeping. clasp you hands together, rest them on your legs, bow down until your head is on your hands and fall asleep. it makes you look like you're praying instead. |

well, i feel oppressed by a society that it is improper to question this religion with is suppossed to be unquestionably good beyond any discussion. hell, if you went by the bible, women in america would not be better off than the women in the Taliban. what makes christianity successful (i.e. popular thru the years) is that it is has so little substance it can be molded and twisted anyway the individual/groups like, sort of like Playdoh. the end conclusion of christianity is that it makes the individual feel important and significant, in control of their world, a big lie that supports all other lies. i just wonder where all these "good" people are, i mean these religions, if they are so damn good, must actually be creating some better people. where the hell are they then? |

well, crayon kid, maybe you think you're being honest and straightforward, but then most christians from every type of group uses the same exact argument i.e. "well, i'm a nice person and i'm following christianity right while all these other people got it wrong and make christians look bad." so how do you sort them out? i find most disturbing the attitude that one is part of a privlegded group and that the earth was created for 'us' (the privlegded group) to use like toilet paper. if people were really that humble and respectful of their god, they should have respect for all the world, creatures, and people in it, and be curious why our world is like it is. but what you get so prevelent is an attitude that regards science as stupid and a waste of time, laughs that saving the biodiversity of the earth is stupid (no empathy at all, no empathy for animals leads to no empathy for fellow "lesser" humans, ... which all leads to the racsim and hatred that is so common and rationalized in monothestic religion. (the overt racsim and hatred always has an excuse and rationale.....nobody ever claims to be a hating racist bigot, everybody says they are just doing whats right. but then, by god, christians can bash all other groups, bash and dismiss all secular science that they don't personally like as worthless, often form rationals that result in justified hate, but don't dare ever bash christianity in return cause that is so insensitive and mean, like kicking a puppy. (actually i would never kick a puppy) i'm just so sick of this b.s nationalism backed by the 'will' of this supposed god. it goes both ways. |

The way it works is that a handful of Christians give all the other Christians a bad name... not all Christians think they are better then other people, just the opposite... Jesus associated with people that the high priests would've considered dirt just because he knew they were human, and equal to any other human, and that is the way Christians are supposed to be... not all Christians judge, and condemn other people... but, another point, no Christian is perfect... Christians do make mistakes, but it doesn't mean they are hypocrites or anything... Like, I don't really care all that much about what anyone else believes... if anyone was interested, I'd tell them what I believed if they asked, but I don't push it down peoples throut... I'm just saying, I think it's damn ridiculous to judge other people and say that their beliefs are stupid, and wrong... but yeah, this really isn't on the Aphex Twin topic now is it... |
