i swear - just when i think i've kicked the addiction, i
can hear Ganon's voice -

"C'mon Gus - come back.... it's fun."

Now I've got 17 and 1/4 heart containers, all the items
including the Hero Charm, Magic Armor and all bottles. I
beat this games months ago, and yet I'm right back on it
like it's brand new again. I'm going to find EVERYTHING this
time. And then I'm going to play Ocarina of Time again and
find EVERYTHING.

Don't be surprised if I start bearing a green tunic and cap
here soon. Damn you Link - damn you to HELL!!!! HELL!!!!!

And plus a friend is going to let me borrow his N64 and
Majora's Mask - there's another good month of my life gone
already.

Hehe, have fun man!! I just ppicked up "Disgaea" a
FFT-esque Strategy/RPG.

Need to keep myself occupied till FFXI comes out...that and
to buy a new PC.

Disgaea looks awesome! I'm unclear, are you the bad guy in
that game? Some kind of Satan's son... I haven't played a
strategy RPG in ages.

I'm not sure how I feel about Final Fantasy 11... from
people who've played the beta, it sounds bad... but who
knows. It IS just the beta, after all. I've never really
played an online RPG like Everquest or Ultima for very long,
never enjoyed them, so that ALONE turns me off. Some people
have said it's boring, uneventful, and goes at a snail's
pace. One guy worked for countless hours killings bats so he
could get their spoils and build a new piece of armor that
hardly increased his stats at all, and said that was par the
course.

I beat Zelda a couple months ago, and I just beat Xenosaga
today... unexpectedly. That was abrupt. Great game, but
naturally it wasn't all that satisfying.

i need to get back into SWG.

it's slow, as are all MMORPG's, but...eh. i gotta stick this
one out. and i'm looking forward to FFXI. i hope it's worth
it. heh.

oh oh. and jedi academy. wheeeeee!

In all honesty I haven't played it yet..I'm trying to beat
Suikoden 3 first. What I do know is your a prince who had
slept for a few years and you wake up to a power struggle
for the netherworld kingdom, so you basically make you claim
to it being yours and fight for it.

As for FFXI...I dunno, I liked Diablo 2 a lot in the sense
of item finding and interacting with others. It looks
promising to me, especially if I can get some friends to
play it as well.

As for XS, with the fact that it's only the first episode,
what did you think of the story? Yeah, it was abrupt, but I
have a felling this is going to be one of if not the best
RPG series. Though, that may change depending on what
Square Enix does with Chrono Break.

Akira Toriyama better do the character designs and hopefully
it'll involve Trigger more.

any idea when the 1.1 patch comes out for D2?

it's been killing me. i don't even bother checking the site
for updates anymore. it's been taking far too long.

Is Chrono Break even offical yet? All I've heard is
rumors... from people with no sources! God, I hope though.
The two best games I've ever played both have ''Chrono'' in
the title.

Xenosaga was just awesome... but I beat it in under 40
hours, and a few of those were spent gaining levels I didn't
even need. The techs/skills/ether, the battles... all deep
and involving, but the game wasn't long enough for me to do
everything I wanted with them. I guess I'll hunt down some
sidequests though, extend the life. I want more.

But the good outweighted the bad. The characters were all
compelling, it says a lot about the game that after I beat
it, I nearly went nuts wondering about all the unanswered
questions. Wilhelm, Margulis, Second Miltia, Chaos... just
can't wait to see what they do.

I also loved the graphical style, all the right angles and
sterile sleek environments... FFX has too much color and
detail, and jerky character movements.

Music- underutilized. Every track (barring that awful lounge
theme) is just fabulous, but you could go hours at a time
hearing no music except the battle/victory themes.
Environmental sounds just won't cut it. They have the guy
who I think is the most talented composer in the industry,
and they barely gave him any ''airtime''... ridiculous.

And I think they dropped the ball on the Ziggy/MOMO thing,
it was really touching and then kind of lost steam, went
more towards a JR/MOMO story that wasn't nearly as
interesting... but now I'm just rambling. That game is
really fresh on my mind and I've got a million ideas and
opinions on it. That says it all. Ep 2 can't come soon
enough.

see...i didn't really get into chrono cross...too many
characters. too much to keep track of. i lose interest when
there're TOO MANY characters.

I agree with you there. But it's not all bad... I LOVED all
the character designs (and their accents!)... but that's a
bit shallow. The characters that WERE fleshed out, were
interesting though. The rest are kinda thrown in. It also
had my favorite battle system of all time, I NEVER got into
a battle that I didn't want to fight.

Even if the game sucked, the soundtrack alone would have
salvaged it for me.

the soundtrack was amazing, yes. i'll give it credit there.

i have the soundtracks to FFVII - XI, but i don't have
chrono cross...hmm. i should hunt that down, maybe, yes.

Well, I'll put it to you like this. Square trademarked both
'Unlimited Saga' and 'Chrono Break' at the same time...the
names that is. And well Unlimited Saga is already out. Now
I personally believe that Square and Enix were discussing
merger plans way down the line. So it kinds makes sense
that Square put Chrono Break on hold until after the merger
so that they'd get the benefit from Enix whom helped them
with Trigger. That's just my theory.

Did you ever play Xenogears? If not that'd be a great one
to check out. Before the creator of the series decided to
redo the series (after leaving Square and lossing certain
rights). In the Perfect Works timeline Gears was #5 out of
6. Maybe when the series gets down that far Monolith Soft
might splurge and buy all the rights to the game and just
remake it. Who knows though, for the most part XS followed
the timeline in the Perfect Works book, but not completely.

Oh, and I just checked and www.gamesarefun.com has new MGS3
screens if you want to check them out.

WooferAttack > if i remember, it goes like this:

1. find (rather buy...) Tingle's 'Super Map' in a letterbox.
costs 200 rupees or something like that

2. find all the Triforce maps who lie in the islands
indicated by Tingle's Super Map.

3. have the Triforce maps decrypted by Tingle at Tingle
island... but it's expensive, it costs you 398 rupees per
map (or something like that, maybe 395, near 400 anyway),
you'll probably have to dig out some treasures on the sea to
gain money! (there are some Triforce map places who have
lots of rupees in them though as well, so it's pretty ok)

4. once the Triforce maps are decrypted, the triforce
fragments appear on Tingle's Super Map (for in where square
to search) and on the Triforce maps (for where on the square
to search). dig them out like treasures.

...is there an official pic/artwork of a big fairy (the
four-armed ones, with the flowers who give you more arrows
bombs rupees etc. capacities) somewhere?

but that always takes all the magic out of it. i think it's
more fun to play through the first time without any kind of
help...and then go back through and see all the side stuff
you missed.

But if you get really stuck....its a great help. A game
where you are stuck is ruined if you cannot go no further..

im at the end of the game, last boss, but i kinda lost
interest into it, because some parts are just quasi
impossible to find without internet help..., the part with
the trading of the different flowers and flags is way to
hard to get
