anyone like these guys?
I got into them a few months ago and it is absolute quality,
I strongly recommend their stuff, it's abstract hiphop
unlike anything else i have heard. its far from the typical
idm/glitch/skreck stuff that is usually talked about here,
but as i said its well worth a listen.
if you havent heard them already, check out the album
"clouddead" (self-titled) to get an idea of what they're
like.

Dose One and Why? (from Anticon) collaborate on a few tunes
on Hood's album Cold House. Good stuff, but they are VERY
nasal.

i just bought (for $14.99!) the 2CD "Singles Compiled",
which is like 150 minutes of tracks from albums before Cold
House and about 15 previously unreleased songs!

That's the song that got me into them. One listen, and I
was like "what IS this?" So I picked it up. You Show No
Emotion at All is probably my fav track.

i also like "painting the town dead". i really got to
actually buy that cd soon.

"branches bare" and "you show no emotion at all" are perhaps
my 2 favorites but every song on the album blows me away

ALSO check out the EP for "you show no emotion at all", it
has several b-sides just as good as the album, if not
better! (www.insound.com to buy)

think its interesting that dose one lost to eminem in a rap
battle in 97. some semifinals thing.

in any case, yeah i like anticon. clouddead especially but i
really do like sole.

why?s recent release is interesting.

i think that dose/em battle never actually took place and is
just an internet rumor, but eminem is a much better rapper..
i dunno why anyone would think otherwise. but dose is a
better artist. both are creative but dose is just out there.

titsworth, that dose one rap battle thing was in the wire
interview that anticon was featured in.

unless they printed false information, i will believe it.

dose one has a totally different style anyhow, i dont think
i could compare. eminem is a good rapper no doubt, just has
nothing interesting to talk about.

saw him on subterranean (ick, i feel gross all over just
mentioning the name of an mtv program)

he had an interesting perspective on music, but the host
looked like he couldnt care less.

geez you don't have that yet? you're gonna love it, too bad
you didn't get it last year!

disassemble, yea, i'm reading the article and wire are pretty
respectable.. even tho it didn't come from their mouths, i
doubt wire would just print something they read on the
internet w/o verifying it. thanks for pointing that out. i'd
love to hear that battle (the internet mp3 is a fake.. it's
really short and seems irrelevant).

the 'you show no emotion at all' ep also has a nice video
for the title track.
those of you who like boc's little super8 clips would like
it very much, methinks.

oh, and back to anticon,
clouddead's remix of 'closed shoulder' on the new boom bip
single is lush. the best one on there, i think. even better
than vsnares' and boc's even.

oh, and the rest of anticon are great as well.
everyone who likes clouddead should look into dose's solo
spoken word album 'slow death' most of the production is by
odd nosdam, so its kinda like another clouddead album with
less beats and more abstract.
dose's first album 'hemispheres' is great as well, while
being totally different.
