Has anyone heard?

The Dillinger Escape Plan
With MIKE PATTON;
Irony is a dead scene Ep

If you haven't, you should.
Combination of a Meshuggah
and SOAD.
Progressive grind-/hardcore
trashy rock.

I love it.

Yes, the stuff they did with Patton is very interesting &
fun. Pretty swift drummer, too.

Not to mention the Come to Daddy cover (Patton on vocals of
course)...

Woah.. You know the Ep.
Other Mike Patton records are too good.
My favourite Patton albums are:

1. Mr.Bungle- Disco Volante
2. Faith No More- Angel Dust
3. DEP- Irony is a dead scene
4. Patton- Adult Themes for voices

honestly i think patton made dep better on that ep which is
so consistent the whole way through, the lyrics are really
good too. dep is good by themselves but i think that ep is
the best but then again thats just me.

i think patton added a much different style to the dep mix.
i like that album a lot, as well as their others. but i'll
tell you, the new dillinger song is so ridiculously
terrible, it made me sad to hear it. their new singer is ok
live, but he ruined the new song. i'm not looking forward
to anything they do with the new guy.

the new dep song i was referring to is from the upcoming
Underworld soundtrack. i downloaded it from a website that
reviewed the song. i just looked for the site again, but i
couldn't find it - sorry!

the song would have been fine if they didn't have this guy
singing on it. it starts of like a regular dep song, then
goes into this annoying faux-patton chant, and then
completely self-destructs at the end where there's this
slow, light ballad music and soft singing. i know that's
not a great description, but if you could hear it i think
you would at least agree that it doesn't even sound like dep
anymore. the singing at the end is just the worst.
