so officially, i have been writing music for ten years now, because it was this exact date 10 years that I received my first instrument - my accoustic guitar. I can remember when I tried to teach myself by trying to play my guitar along with Les Claypool's basslines on Pork Soda. So - 10 years of my life have gone into music. At times, I've felt like I've wasted my life. But today, I look back at the criticism you have all given my work and I realize that I have truly grown as an artist. And that I can't just give up now when I've come so far. I listened to something last night that could easily be the blueprint of track arrangements for my final album, and it's beautiful. why? because you people gave me criticism and this criticism helped improve my work. thank you all. I'm not sure how I'll celebrate tonight, but I will celebrate nonetheless. |
