BOC hidden messages

Ironlung from Dark Side of the moon on 2001-11-08 10:17 [#00049671]

Hey can anyone shed light on the subject...I have read in
too many sources, including posts on this MB, that the BOC
have hidden messages in their music.
Any help with this would be great...

i believe that BOC's hidden messages are 'we aren't going to
make another release for a long time'.

i hope this is not so!

BUT yes i do think they have a dark undertone really.

another of the messages could be..." we have nothing on our
site...no info for you"

"I do actually believe that there are powers in music that
are almost supernatural. I think you actually manipulate
people with music, and that is definitely what we are trying
to do."

"People go on about hypnotizing people with music, or
subliminal messages, and we have dabbled in that
intentionally. Sometimes that’s just a bit of a private
joke, just to see what we can sneak into the tracks."

scary :).

I said once a long time ago that if you go to sleep
listening to Telephasic Workshop you wake up in the middle
of the night, transfer all your money into a swiss bank
account, and promptly go back to sleep, forgetting it ever
happened.

Ok, I read the interview... so does this mean the new BOC
album is gonna be Sgt. Pepper 2? I'm confused...

:)

fucking nice one matey!!!!

so right about roygbiv, it's just right, like the first pint
of the evening (smooth pls)...also, it's like the track with
the seagulls in it, erm, can't remember the mix, it had
someone mix it, well, anyways, you are so into the tune the
lull, your imagination running then a freaking seagull
chorus comes in, i thought i were back in brighton fro a
second there...gorgeousness. how do you make love to music?

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2001-11-27 19:35 [#00056181]

I can't wait for their new one... Music has the Right to
Children is awesome... one of my favorites...

Xanatos from NYC on 2001-11-27 19:41 [#00056185]

Funkmaster, you might have a while to wait:

"We want to do this one at our own pace and only deliver it
when we think we’ve got something that is absolutely
perfect, with no flaws. We want it to be so that every track
on it is a really long lasting track that we personally
love, and keep on loving, and play over and over again.
It’s a difficult thing to achieve, and the chances are
that we’re not going to do that because no one ever gets
to that point. "

It’s like that thing..." adds Eoin. "What do you do if you
make the perfect album?"

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2001-11-27 21:48 [#00056221]

yeah, but they've already been working on it for a while...
so it mighten take that much longer...

IronLung from Dark Side of the Moon on 2001-11-28 10:03 [#00056383]

Sometimes I wonder if I will be able to wait....Anything
they release will be excellent, but all this time its taking
could take it to a new level.
Too bad all their older releases are harder to find......

diastole from http://diastole1.homestead.com on 2001-11-28 16:56 [#00056481]

what's the waiting for? why do you all talk about waiting?
there's no waiting in loving music, just surprises, you
could be waiting for the next surprise then, but isn't it
more exciting when you don't know?

i like surprises, i try to carry on and live for the next
surprise whenever it may be from whoever it may be (in
music)...

Roygbiv is the finest piece of music I've ever heard.
