Computer parts! Where are you?

Where's a good/reliable/cheap place to buy parts to build
your own pc. Buying a pc as a whole is way too gosh darn
expensive these days, anyone know a good place/website? Much
appreciation.

I get mine from www.insight.com

There are cheaper places, but their service is unsurpassed
in my opinion. The components for my last 3 computers have
come from there. My experience has taught my that buying
really cheap stuff from 'never heard of' places, can be a
pain in the ass. Hope this helps.

A mate of mine just spent £101.25 putting together a
working computer.

In the States, I HIGHLY recommend Newegg.com and/or
Googlegear.com. They are very cometitive on pricing, as in
one of the cheapest if you search on Pricewatch.com, and
their service is amazing. I've ordered lots from both, and
love them. Get whatever is cheaper between either of them.

round here we get computer fairs once a fortnight.

i just spent $96 on a complete 800mhz jobby. put it all
together myself. no sound card / and only a cheap ass video
card. but im using it as a server only so its on the network
and all is well.

I steal everything I need. If I really need to buy I do it
with a forged credit card...if I haven't got one of them I
go to a computer fair and bargin my ass off (not literally)

Crucial RAM is great, and reliable in everyday applications.
That being said, nothing can ever beat Corsair XMS if
you will be gaming and/or overclocking.

I've ordered generic RAM before and it hoses out in no time.
I've bought stuff from pcboost (not RAM) in the past and
they have been good though.
