best user name ever.
I think he still lurks around here, if you do, can you again explain the meaning of that word?
I think I remeber you saying it is from an Austrailian tribe, it was: the feeling of sorrow for something that is lost.

this was my old account in high school. id use it again but i forgot the password, and that old e-mail address is dead.
anyway, eraritjaritjaka is a word from the Aranda language of Australia. it means 'to be consumed by the desire for something lost'.
the word has always been important to me, it is the name of my experimental electronic music project.

cheers!

I like both that name, and your music, but maybe you should take into account, that people must be able to pronounce and spell it. Cylob used to be called "kinesthesia" (i think it's spelled like that??!?! see!) until he decided that people were to stupid to remember that name.
On the other hand, it creates some mystery around you and your music, wich is allready quite inaccessible.

i dont think thats something i need to take into account...i got booked for about 30 shows and festivals last year without any problems.
and to be honest i dont care if people have trouble pronouncing it...im not looking for any degree fame or anything. eraritaritjaka is an outlet for my more 'difficult' musics. i still get offers for releases so i think its ok.
