OK I have been making music for 5 and a half months now,
but beleive it or not I have only just started using Cubase.
Well I am 5 days into trying to learn it and I have
produced my first track with it. I would appreciate any
feedback you might be feeling kind enough to give me, it is
called dnb2 :P

Cheers Peeps.

nice. fast and intense, just how i prefer it, and some
smooth basswork, not to mention good dark melody. i like the
high-end sawtooth at the end - it's a nice touch. always a
pleasure, donald. :D

though i'm going to guess that since it is your first track
with cubase, that you have bigger plans with it? because i
know you're very picky about your work.

i enjoy it highly though.

haha :D I want to settle on Cubase now, but it is a bastard
to learn. The next thing I want to do is figure out how to
apply effects to individual tracks in the sequencer...then I
can start getting some of the shit out of my brain :D

i know the feeling - a lot of the earlier stuff i had
released i did with freeware i had just dived into, so a lot
of my ideas really were handicapped by the software.

I am glad you know the feeling because this reply gives me
an excuse to bump this topic :D

The main thing I don't like about the drums is all the
samples are identical almost. This differs from, say,
drukqs' fast percussion tracks which use a colorful
pallette. The note-ish stuff was quite good.

thnaks for listening :D

The drum pattern is just based around 5 sample hits...this
is purely because I was just practising with the step editor
in cubase and I didn't want to get too complicated while I
am still learning. :P

I am working on something a bit more intricate for the
follow up track :D

well. yeah, pretty simple, i guess. but then i would imagine
you weren't shooting for anything AMAZING on yer first go,
yeah? i generally like your stuff, so i look forward to
hearing what you can do with it. =]

(and someday i need to get this...this "cubase" for myself.
see what it's all about.)
