what would you think is a better cpu processor for making
music with your PC, ADM or INTEL? or is there a little or no
difference? i'm not expecting anyone to know but maybe there
is someone who can answer this.

im using an intel pentium 4 at the moment and dont seem to
have any problems...i think its more within what programs
are used than what the processor make is.. RAM is also very
important in music making.

i'm soon buying a CPU i can afford, like 2.4 to 2.6 GHZ
which i think will be enough to fuck around with alot of
vst's without any troubles. my shitty 800mhz can't handle it
well.

I run a AMD at 2.2 and it seems to fly with Reason2.5
rewired to Sonar or Ableton and Wavelab open at the sametime
running whatever VST's.

512 ddr ram.

okay! thank you. i'm very limited to do what i want with my
music now. the system cannot handle it. but in a about a
week i will have money to buy a new CPU. yay!

512mb of ram you say, you think 390mb isn't enough?

I've only used Intel processors, so I don't have any
experience with anything else.

the only thing I've ever noticed is when I had an AMD it
would overheat while playing with Paragon5's gameboy
tracker...

Yeah AMDS heat up to much but they are the better
processor.
Depends on what your doing to.

Id say save your money and buy some desktop midi shit. A
good Er-1 and a 1.3 will run circles around any little girl
with a 2.6 and reason.

ITS NOT THE MACHINE ITS THE MAN BEHIND IT : )
