...by the caustic window version of popcorn.

it's just the original sound, layed over top of a half
decent beat with some shite effects. for a while i thought
it was cool just cuz that original is fun, but it's really
not a good song at all. no, i am not impressed..

yeah, it cant touch the original.
the hot butter version is dorky, you can tell the guys who
made it probably wore cardigans, but at the same time, its
still very cool, especially for its time.

and yet he clearly did

it's pretty much what spoonz described.. richard would grow
much better at acid remixes w/ MEN1, damn those are some
fine tracks

i'll have a listen, tho i believe you :p
maybe the original is not clear in my mind, but i thought he
re-did the melodies on others synths...
anyway the "shite effect" as you call it is the sound of the
ms-20 filters, which he probably just passed the song thru
and played with them

yea i think you're right about the "shite effect" (and i
don't think it's bad, it's just very simplistic compared to
his later remixes)

but on topic, yes i dislike that popcorn remix as well. i
still listen to the original - so lush and delicious.
Hershon Kingsley was a fucking madman.
