do you take good care of your CDs/records?

my room is littered with music CDs lying all over the
place... in piles, on their own, under things.. few of them
are in cases
none of them have any audible damage, but i could certainly
show more respect
i often cant find one that i want to listen to (a few
minutes ago this happened with amnesiac)

i think when i move my stereo to the basement (which im
doing for acoustic reasons), i'll take that opportunity to
organize and fix up my collection

i try to take the best care of my cd and records as
possible. I keep everything in a proper case, my vinyls and
cds are very well organized. I NEVER EVER leave a cd or
vinyl out of its case/sleeve unless I'm going to immediately
use it again within the next 1 or 2 minutes.

my mp3s are neatly organized in folders and arranged by 1.
genre, 2. artist. 3. album

i own like - 4 or 5 electronica cds.

I try not to put them on the floor in the middle of my room,
but for the rest.. yeah I recognise it.

This might help: Put a box from shoes or so next to your
stereo and try to put your cd's in there.
when a cd is missing, you don't have to search the whole
room, just the box .

I take good of my CDs sure. But that's not enough,
now they want me to buy them clothes, take them out for a
meal at a fancy restaurant, be nice to their parents... I'm
only one man!!

the only reason i take care of my music is the hope it will
become valuable later down the line

yes, i try to care as much as i can! no CDs out of their
cases, they're all classified (more or less) alphabetically
in two towers (a little one for electronica, a big one for
the rest - but of course it's not always easy to classify
even with a coarse classification like this one!) - i'm
starting to lack space though, i'll have to rearrange it
pretty soon (i'll have to sort my Queen Adreena CD which
should arrive soon in-between my Opeth ones, or above my
Massive Attack - not pretty good alphabetical order)...

only my first ones have scratches (they're apparent on the
CD but the listening doesn't seem to be damaged though, they
still play fine without skips...). some have scratched cases
though (and ONE case, one of the first CDs i had, is so
fucked i can't even close it good enough... i'd change the
case but it's a double CD so...)

My shit's all alphabetized. I've never had to replace a CD
because of wear/damage, and just one record.

i am terribly neurotic.. my records should be aligned in my
rack, not one can stick out. and they're in plastic sleeves
as well. And when people go through my stuff, i get
goosebumps..and try to stay calm

but it's not as bad as i make it seem to be, bleh!

cd's are ok too, i'm not that freaky about them.

i just have a problem with tapes & underwear...
