Didn't Barbarian on the C64/Amiga sell like a million copies
cause Sam Fox was on the cover? Anyway, marketing is
everything in some areas.

It was Linda Lusardi. I used to jerk off to the cover and
inside pictures when I was a proto-teen.

Second rate? Whittaker was probably second only to that new
lesbian Sam Fox back in the day.

I'm sure it IS Linda Lusardi. But, when I come up against
you, I'm usually wrong, Ace.

so what about staying on-topic? :)

I mean, what are your experiences when it comes to
appearance / reality?
e.g. when has appearance been decieving?

I once bought a large pack of crisps. When I opened it, I
discovered that it was less than half full. Disgusted, I
threw it violently to the floor and began cursing.

hehe... thanks for sharing.

Several times I've bought avacados too late (meaning I had
to buy thoose ripe ones at the store). At the store the ones
who look "ripe" are ofthen ripe, but also quite damaged. And
some times I've bought them and they are just disgusting,
all brown and stuff.
But nothing beats a good avocado, so I usually remember to
buy 'em green and wait for them to "ripe" at home.

To emulate an avocado: pick your nose for ten minutes,
depositing the snot in a bowl. Then take a Green Shit - mix
with snot into a paste. Add Urine to taste.

bah... seems like you don't like avocados?
I love avocados... they add soo much deliciousness to the
salads.

You're right - I don't like avocadoes. Thinking about them
gives me the shivs.

yeah, but video game covers are nothing - what really
deceives is the way you discover life is, compared to the
way people, stories, advertisings etc. pictured it to you as
a child... ' _ '

if you're dumb enough to fall for it, so what. Life can be
an adventure if you can break out your hacksaw and get rid
of your roots and edible chains.

"the way you discover life is" = "when you discover how life
really is"... i'm not expressing myself very well

ps: your crow avatar is very nice marlowe!

actually - marlowe's crisp comment was quite on-topic.

personally - the appearance vs. reality of many things
absolutely pisses me off. like fucking water. goddamnit.

How about this one: I bought an album. It had a really
nice package and the words "Future Sound Of London presents
Amorphous Androgenous The Isness." The appearance was of a
very good album, judging by the past FSOL and AA efforts,
but the reality was a pile of unlistenable shite.
