I only just graduated from highschool, didn't get accepted into any decent universities and I do a lot of drugs, used to drink a lot, smoke etc etc etc But my live is actually surprisingly well inline, I got some qualifications and now I'm working IT. In a few years I'll be on a better line than my mates getting IT degrees. Fuck uni :) |

Yeah I quit school. I blame music. I use to read keyboard magazine in class. Always went to the music shop, constantly day dreamed about being a huge rockstar hahaha. I would bring my laptop to class and play roms. Walked out of class to goto burger king hahaha. Skipped A LOT of school. Oh and when a cool RPG came out I wouldnt goto school for days . I refused to take a grad pic with my shirt on cause I hated everything my school stood for. All bullshit, its like a fancy dog show. Good thing I didnt graduate though right ? haha! Fuck that raise your hand to use the washroom bullshit : ) I rather die then work for some clawd for 30 years. I'm gonna get my GED and go to some sound engineering school. That would rock ! |

luckily, i will be graduating this year. i tend to smoke a lot of very GOOD reefer, and get drunk, and occasionally pop acid/e-pills/shrooms, the like. did mesc one time, was scary, but i realize it was fun! anyway......i guess i'm just fucking blessed or lucky, cause I'm a lot smarter than most people my age.....i'm not attacking you or anything......it....uh...just...ahhh.. fuck it......... i'm lucky and i really dig making music, too! I make hundreds upon hundreds of songs, electronic, acoustic, hard rock, techno-ambient, all the like, crazy shasta mcnasty calisto beats and shit........ uh. i give up |

I didn't do anything, and passed no problem, with really good marks... university though is tough! BUT I JUST FINISHED ANOTHER SEMESTER!! Only two more years of university! but seriously, everyone hates high school... but you don't drop out just because of that... blah... that's just stupid! |

no, not COMPLETELY... but I know it's not totally true... but it's more true then untrue... sure, you can be a musician without a high school education, you can be an artist, anything really... but the chances of those types of things happening without some sort of education is really slim nowadays... it sucks, yes, but it is true... |

yes, i agree for the most part, but i have been impressed by the ammount of opportunities that have come up since i left high school. I have found That a simple letter explaining yourself and your situation to somewhere that "only takes HS graduates" will often reveal that they are quite happy to consider un/home/non - schoolers. Excellent colleges are especially open to accepting people based on their writing, motivations, ideas rather than on academic qualifications. It is possible to get into good schools without even a GED, but with a GED and good SAT scores, youve got a great chance. (I still havnt gotten my GED, and hope to never have to). The reason i dropped out is because yes, everyone hates HS, but there is this attitude that you just get it over with, which i think is very unhealthy, and will never lead to an education system that not everyone hates. By dropping out I am not shaking the foundations of the US public education system, but the more unschoolers there are, the more viable an option it will become. dont want to start an argument, but just wanted to say that. i agree with you that it makes things a bit more difficult, but i think its worth it. And it is a completely individual choice anyway- i admire people who can sit through all the bullshit and just laugh at it- i couldnt. theres something to say for both. |

i use to go to really shitty partys with alot sport guys (jocks?), hillbillys, generaly stupid people and you name it. you know why? naa, probably not, and even if you did i couldent be arsed to wait for an answer. so the reason is: its funny! theres noting more fun than watching stupid people doing stupid things, embarasing them self, etc. etc. (quite inspiering to) and you know what? high school is really much like a shitty party (but you have to lern shit insted of smoking it) same stupid people, same bullshit atitude etc. with one exeption; you have to follow a shedul (spelling?, in swedish: schema) and yes that is a problem, for me personly anyway, but thats aboute the only problem. i mean, if your just there you have to be a complete fucking idiot to not get throug (spelling?) but then again i dont really know much aboute american high school, i just know alittle about the school system in sweden, so i would probably not be the rigth one to coment on this one. but hey, i got to much time on my hands and i felt like doing som type writing :) anyway, music is more fun than drugs. but dont get me wrong drugs are fun to, but just when its not in the way of other things (like music). |
