Progs for orchestra sounds

Songs like Next Heap With and Icct Hedral have amazing
sounds. What could a guy use to make chello or violen sounds
(minus a chello or violen). (sorry for any mis spellings)

Yeah, I LOVE the stringy songs. He doesn't make enough of
them anymore, I think.
Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles makes me smile, real good.
Viva la violins and cellos.

rather than use your money to buy shitty software, save it
and buy a sampler and a whole orchestra. that's what i do.
when i needed a helicopter sound, i bought a helicopter.

As far as I know the best way to obtain a nice rich string
instrument sound, would be to sample a nice rich string
instrument. Altho if you are looking for stuff to make
really lush close to authentic orchestral sounds, check out
nativeinstruments.com, check out some of their programs, and
use a little innovation.

You might be able to take a slew of different pad sounds,
cut the individual tones into different channels, then
recombine them thru the same effect channel with a slight
delay. That might do the trick. But otherwise I really don't
have any idea to make those kind of sounds.

buy on violin string from a shop and hammer two nails into a
piece of wood.

tie one end of the string to one nail and wind the other end
round the other nail until it is quite tight.

make sounds with it or ask small bulls to walk across it and
make a video of it and send it to some spanish people to
watch on chrsitmas morning whilst opening thier gifts and
wearing hats whilst them dance dressed in lovely dresses and
paint thier hair black and grow moustaches.
