K. I'm needing to build a website that accesses a database
of abulm reviews my friend and i cooked up over the last
year or so.

My question is this:

Should I write the pages in php, w/ flash interface, w/ SQL
for the database?

Is there a better way of doing this? (less load times,
better flexability with another language...)

I'd say why have a flash interface? I would use PHP with
MySQL myself though.

asp is microsoft.. so dont use it

php is pretty flexible, if you know how to use it

or just do it in plain html...

i know a wee bit about asp.

either php or asp will do the job fine. it's really a
question of which language do you know, and what does your
website host offer.

it'd probably be cheaper to do the site with php/mySql if
you're looking at just hosting fees.

when you mention SQL, i'm assuming you are meaning msSQL.
that will probably add significant cost to your hosting.
mySql will no doubt handle any traffic you are planning on
getting, unless you are planning on this thing getting VERY
big.

and, unless you already know flash and/or you are wanting to
do experimental type things, putting flash into the mix will
add significant complication to your development.

PHP+MySQL... the only way to go.
