in particular order: violin, as in i care because you do: 4 hobo, as in the fourth track of "the piano" ost human voice, as in special stuff like at the drive inn and sparta (just found out its not the same guy) and baroque stuff like monteverdi
also: clean electric guitar
furthermore guitar and piano are nicely versityle, but not that special sounding to me

Piano. Particularly melodies, arpeggio-types and other complicated fiddly bits, rather than basic block chords.
But on the whole, piano is my favourite instrument by a mile. Nothing comes close. Atall.

couldnt you better get the violin effect with your guitar with a volume pedal?: i think it sucks that an effect controls the sound in this

I like clean electric guitars.. and acoustic.. though sometimes just the sound of the pick sliding from string to string on an acoustic guitar turns me off immediately.. some of my friends used to listen to shit like dave matthews, ben harper.. etc ugh.. so bland and uninteresting
I love drums.. esp. certain hiphop rhythms etc.. or any for that matter.. but also sounds that simulate drums .. or drums that arent in the form of a standard drumkit
piano
violin
pitch-shifted vocal samples etc
