 | einsturzende neubauten rocks. i'm a fan of the guitar personally, had a rock upbringing
and have played for numbers of years. and as far as
reinventing anything, to coin an old phrase "yr only limited
 by yr imagination".

Sonic Youth guitar work is great,
when they jam they record, listen back and pick it to peices
to make songs, hence i think this is how their experimental
sound remains in tact. damn they have so many tunings its
like a new guitar for each song.
Steve albini is brilliant, i used to really get into his
stuff of which i hadn't heard in ages, from bigbalck,
rapemen, shellac all of it. he has a unique sound.
i think there is a number of guitarists that i enjoy, though
it is really a big part of my music at the moment i would
like to incorporate it in the future.
i would also like to bring more classicla instruments into
my music, ultimately i'd love an orchestra at my disposal
but that could be a while a way.
I own three guitars, left handed. my fave being a blood red
gibson sg (same as angus youngz - acdc).

 | I love guitar. I've been playing for nine years.
I've started to type about ten different sentences to begin
to explain why I love it so much, but I can't. I can
truthfully say that if I could only have one thing on a
desert island (bar food and drink, obviously) it would be my
guitar and amp. Okay, that's two things, but you get what I
mean. I've tried to create electronic music, but I feel
limited. I just feel like I can create more effectively
 with my guitar.

 | Play that rock lead guitar. Rock it like a magikist
Rock and roll is the joyride music.
 Whip that snow leopards ass.

 Play that Westone guitar.
Rock it to the break of dawn.
Rock it on the mike in front of 50,000 people.
Rock the jam session on Saddam Hussein.

Play that rock solo as hard as you can.
Make the crown roar like a tidal wave.
Rock the jam session on a good free will.
Whip the hell out of that snow leopard's ass.

 | The worst contribution to rock would have to be the guitar solo.

Don't bother with a bridge, just fucking wank on your guitar
for 30 seconds until my ear drums rupture and bleed. Most
classic rock guitar solos are fucking hideous.

This is not to say that bands like Radiohead, Sonic Youth,
and the plethora of others who manipulate and harness the
sound properly don't redeem the guitar and its history.

 | I used to love those cock-rock solos, which is why I dislike them so much today. I like it when a band has a sound where
all the instruments blend together as a whole, while still
being able to pick out individuals. Solos are far too
 self-indulgent. Even the classics, IMO.
