Heard a few Isan tunes recently and wondered if anyone got
any Isan album recommendations ?

Cheers.

I have their last album 'Lucky Cat' and also 'Clockwork
Menagerie' which is a collection of previously released 7
and 10" singles.

Both well worth getting.

Get Clockwork menagerie.
It's even better than the already awesome lucky cat.
it's their best , actually.

i think their best album is definitely "lucky cat."
"clockwork menagerie" has some great tracks, but some weaker
ones and it plays like a compilation, whereas "lucky cat" is
like a trip to a strange but familiar and complete world.

their other records are all good but spottier, i think.

the best ep is "salle d'isan."

isan is fucking fantastic.

theres a few songs on clockwork menagerie that i thought
were great, but overall i was kinda disappointed. still
quite nice overall though.

my favorites were bettys lament and calf.

lucky cat does my head in though.

and yes, salle d'isan is their best ep, i agree. i cant get
over "serene driver". great song.

their original track on the morr music "blue skied an'
clear" compilation "my last journey (weather balloon)" is
definitely worth tracking down.

has anyone here heard the split 7" with lali puna, the isan
track was titled "boy looking up at the ceiling" or
something like that. any comments?
