i'd trry and help but it's been overr a month since my
computerr has any sound, i have the same prroblem as you, my

Looks like music writing is temporarily halted.

hey you should try to make the best out of this experience.
i've recently been considering turning off the speakers and
trying to make a track without hearing it at all, then see
what comes out. :D

Win2k will need a serial number. I've never had an onboard
sound chip to die. All newer HP computers onboard sound and
graphics chips are part of the motherboard and are
non-removable. Your sound could be dead, but most likely
winME's sound stuff just died is all. I few years ago I
thought one of my computers was broken, but I figured I'd
give win2k a try. What do you know, it worked better than
it did when I bought it.

Really? Because a copy of Win2k will definitely be WAY
cheaper than a new sound card. My HP was manufactured in
about 2000-so. I checked the model listing on their site and
its apparently one of the newest ones - a Pavilion mx70. You
think there's a VERY good chance my sound may start working
if I install 2k?
