 | Ths just started happening today. I've done a disk cleanup, ran scandisk, and used adaware to dump all my spyware. but
 this problem keeps occurring:

My IE continuously shuts down, and i've restarted my comp
twice mind you, but my internet connection is still
perfectly stable and everything else is going fine. This
happens when I'm trying to visit sites and when I scroll
every now and then, or when I'm trying to download
something. I'll even have ALL windows closed except the
download and the error keeps occurring.

It says the error is in USER.EXE

What is going on? Can someone please help?

 | as usual the mouse is my savior.
turns out the culprit was one obscure BHO that I had no
knowledge of. Fixed that sucker though.

 Now everything is fine.

 | Try uninstalling IE and download it. Or if you have the windows disk, it should be on there.

 | microsoft software has the largest amount of unexplained errors. I'm not sure how they get some of it to even work,
let alone get peoeple to pay for it. I mean, look at
 windowME.....

 | win2k is awesome, winxp is just a shiny version of XP with more useless features, and less useful ones. I use win2k
 when possible.

 | I don't have troubles with IE, just windows, but unfortunetaly linux makes certain things I like doing very
difficult, since making music and video editing is
challenging on unix machine. Plus I've never like mozilla
on any platform. I will only use it on unix machines.
