A Night On Mars

My 5 piece space-rock/ambient band. Tell me what you
xltronic folks think.

I think I do. Does Primal Scream's Echo Dek count as spacey?
:D I'm downloading the track 'Marooned Spaceman' now, but
with my connection it'll be a while before I can tell you
what I think.

Hehe. Unfortunately not all of us are blessed with cable
connection...or in my case, my girlfriend's cable
connection.

I haven't heard alot of Primal Scream, so I wouldn't really
know. People that have seen us play have compared us to Syd
Barrett-era Pink Floyd, Godspeed You Black Emperor and even
Radiohead and BoC, which I was confused yet ecstatic about.

Personally I don't think we sound like any of those, but
that's me. I wrote the songs, so I don't have the true 3rd
person perspective on this stuff.

My friends and I are into Floyd. When it finishes
downloading in an hour and 30 minutes I'll pass it on to
them.

I still have yet to hear Godspeed You Black Emporer.. what a
name. :0!

listened to the first 2 tracks

quality stuff

allthough the drums on the first track seemed alittle
flat... and I felt like i expected them to swing. it felt
too straight for the song

anyways, yeah man, quality stuff. good luck with it all!

Thanks!

The drums on the first track are a bit flat
though...considering the whole track was recorded in my
bedroom in 3 hours.

We just got out of the studio for four days though, and we
recorded a 10 minute live version of Marooned Spaceman as
well as 8 or so other tracks. If anyone likes what they hear
and wants those, feel free to message me on AIM or Slsk and
get them from me.
