Why oh why have they left out the original characters Linda
Hamilton and Robert Patrick? I am so pissed off that they
did this. I would have been one of the first people who
would have gone to the cinema and seen it by now. The TX
does look good but these new characters ahhhhhh! I want
Linda Hamilton and Robert Patrick! Its not fair!!!!!!!

because arnie got paid 30 million bucks, that didnt leave
money for the other original characters, prolly

No they were just fucking stupid. As a film financier I
would no way have put money into this movie without Linda
Hamilton and Robert Patrick. I'm sorry they just as much
made T2 the A1 movie it was.

I'm really bloody hope this movie flops. I am so pissed off.
I wouldn't usually say something crass like this but I'm
going to say it anyway 'they've robbed the fans'.

what crass, naive? it's of course all about the money. james
cameron didnt want to have do anything with it because there
want a twist able to give to the story to keep it going
believable.
you shouldnt mind to much though: in 2 years T3 wont be
considered part of the cycle anymore.

I am not going to see it. Its just not a Terminator movie
without Linda Hamilton. Thats it I refuse to see it. I am
going to take a stand on this.

Yeah I know. But they just didn't make the effort to bring
her on board. Surely the 'fans' would have said we ain't
watching it without Sarah Conner.

offline Anus_Presley on 2003-08-03 11:51 [#00806638]

They also said it was a blessing, it stopped them making T2
again with the whole motherr and son plot.

offline promo from United Kingdom on 2003-08-03 11:55 [#00806642]
Points: 4227 Status: Addict

Yeah I read that too. Still doesn't make me wanna watch it.
Arnie just isn't a character strong enough on his own to
make me wanna watch it. If they brought forward the son
character I'd definitely would have gone to see it. But with
just Arnie its just not good enough to see for me. The TX
looks bloody good though and I think it was a stroke of
genius using a girl as the Terminator but again without at
least the original boy character I'm just simply not going
to watch it.

i was very baked when i watched it and i quite enjoyed it.

the trick is to lose the high brow movie afficionado
attitude when you watch it and just enjoy the explosions.
this is low low brow action not to be taken seriously.

and James Cameron did say he liked it.

offline promo from United Kingdom on 2003-08-03 12:10 [#00806663]

Oh don't get me wrong Arnie is the Terminator. But the
Terminator movie isn't just Arnie its Sarah Conner and the
original boy character too. Sarah Connor kicked arse in T2.
Sob sob I'm so unhappy that she's not in this one. Oh sod it
I'll think I'll have some chocolate.

they should have got Robert Patrick even if just for a
cameo. It wouldnt have been hard to do, just have his face
morph on the T-X.

get over it. What the hell do you people expect from a
treequel, an arnie treequel at that! Did you really expect
it to be a serious non-parady of the other two? If you did,
then youre a fool.

i can't believe they're still making this kind of film. seen
1, seen them all. catering for the masses, sucking your
money, feeding you corn dogs and popcorn, then going home to
sleep and conning you into thinking you've had an
entertaining and produtive experience which you can tell
your grandchildren when you're older.

You tossers all need to lighten up, I just watched it now
for the first time... And I have a couple things to say:

1) The girl as a terminator is a bigger "catering for the
masses" than anything else in the entire movie, but everyone
pretends that the T&A isn't why a girl was used.
Think about it, in terms of gender, a MALE is the obvious
choice for any assassin, given strength. Of course, I guess
when it comes down to super-high-tech machines, the exterior
isn't all that important, so I let this one slide.

2) Promo: You don't consider a Terminator without Linda
Hamilton a Terminator movie? Uhh, what about the
Terminator?

3) I thought the movie was actually quite interesting, given
that it turns out judgement day couldn't be avoided, and I
enjoyed the twist at the end with the secret base turning
out the be the staging point for the entire resistance.

4) The special effects were top notch, and the movie was
funny too. I love the terminator(Arnold)'s way of being the
most serious character but also the must funny. :)

Sorry you all didn't enjoy it but like evolume said: "the
trick is to lose the high brow movie afficionado
attitude when you watch it".

I watched it a while ago and thought it was OK. I love the
fight scene between Arnie and the female terminator.
Mindless nonsense, yes, enjoyable, yes. I probably wouldn't
watch it again though.

Linda Hamilton didn't want to do it.

Robert Patrick didn't want to do it.

The lad from the first one is now a heroin addict and had to
go detox just before filming started.

I couldn't play the terminator due to other work commitments
so Arnie had to step in again.

Oh, well in that case, I don't think it's so bad that there
was a new machine over the T1000, having the TX in there
left me wondering "how the hell is Arnie ever gonna beat
that?" If it were the T1000, I think the movie would have
even more of that "been there done that" feeling that some
have spoke of. They had no choice but to present a new
design. :)

potato chips are not especially nutritious. their flavor is
not particularly dynamic. but i just keep eating them
because they taste good. i eat gormet foods on occasion too
but sometimes i like to just snack on the junky stuff.

T3 is like the junk food of the movie world.

i have SO many things to say about this film, but i just
haven't got enough time at the moment

there are SO MANY FUCKING HOLES IN THE PLOTLINE IT"S
UNTRUE!!!!!!!!!!!

it's absolutley not in touch with the storyline of The
Terminator, they changed MAJOR things in the storyline to
fit their abomination of a film.

I BOYCOTT THIS FILM!!!!

I am gonna go to see Aliens vs. Predator just to nit-pick -
because I know for a fact that it's not going to be true to
the original plotlines

and yeah, unfortunately Aliens Vs Predator is just going to
ruin both series (not like Aliens wasn't already ruined by
Ressurection). It's sad because a film like this has so much
potentional, it seems doomed to fail.

Actually to be honest, the whole terminator saga is as
illogical as it can be right from the very first film on, if
only for the dimwitted principle of timetravel.
