Found this on Soulseek. Five tracks, all named "Piste"
1-5.

What is it? I can't find any mention of it anywhere, even if
I assume "shematic" is a typo for "schematic".

This is almost certainly true. But they just look a but out
of place in this particular user's file list. They have
everything else by Autechre, just this that I don't
recognise. Are they definitely fake?

i've heard 3 of the 5... they all appear to be by artists on
Schematic Records.

i cant honestly answer you, but a lot on slsk is fake

when a group makes tunes, they ussually like to get paid for
them, why would they put them up on a file sharring service

*i do realize the boc tapes issues*

Oh well. It's a shame that people try to pass off tracks
with other people's names.

I just looked up A Few Old Tunes on slsk, but couldn't get a
definitive tracklist. What was the deal with these? Did BoC
allow them to be released?

"Piste" is french for "track", if you want to know.

long story short.NO!

they gave tapes to friends/family

tapes leaked out

lots of old boc and fake boc on slsk

joyrex(friends of boc) admitted that some of the old boc
tracks on slsk were legit
