 | who said samurai math beats was rare, i bought it in london yesterday after a couple of hours digging as well as
 thinking of you.
now that i've heard more of his stuff it sounds a little bit
 samey?
the same bass effects and rhythms are used all the time or
is this just me not listening to it enough?

 | He's OK, but pretty much a one trick pony to my ears... I haven't heard everything by him though. But that's because I
 haven't been compelled to.

His name is a pain in the ass to type into search engines
 and P2Ps, yeesh.

 | Ah? I think he's brilliant. Wouldnt compare him to aphex tho. He's closer to being Gary numan than aphex twin in my
 ears.

 | another bogdan thread hmm?
well i agree that he's certainly not a technical "master" or
anything, and defininetely not up to the level of aphex, but
i enjoy his music because it is so fun and light-hearted.

 | I really like Myloveilove and Boku Mo Warken is good but not a touch on Myloveilove. i wouldn't compare him to Aphex
because its a totally different sound and style.

 Bogdan is good, very good.

 | someone said 'one trick pony'. someone was right. that also goes for autechre, sqarepusher, and venetian snares. get a
grip and listen to something more varied.

 | in a way, apart from writing really good tunes (imo), what sets bogdan apart from a lot of other artists is that he
seems to put a lot of himself in to his music and he has a
persona, like afx, so he isnt just a faceless
"laptop-jockey" like so many others. plus he rocks live.

he is the samurai beat master.

 | i enjoy bogdan personally. he definitely made a huge change with myloveilove. while i prefer some of his faster
material, his slow stuff is good too.

 | totally agree
you may not like what he does but he clearly is fucking
talented he can actually write melodies and beats as opposed
to half the people on the scene who can barely make one
 copying another...
 peace.=)
