Last night at Chop Suey in seattle, good ole tom gave an excellent performance in probably the most manic hardcore display of electronic chaos i've heard all year. His set was well over an hour but it still felt short. He played mostly new stuff except for a couple recognizable 'oldies.' i'd be arsed to remember the track titles though.. One of the best parts of the performance was that he had his 6 string bass and was pounding it live through most of the performance. if you've never seen tom play bass, it's worth seeing the show just for this. he has some kind of crazy effects that makes it sound like an organ or piano and he plays so fast that his hands become a blur. after about the second song the sound went out but the crew was on top of it, getting everything worked out before people started leaving.
Vibert was on before him and played a good mp3 dj set full of much popular DnB as well as some afx and other obscurities.
great show. over all my only complaint is that i wish the mic was closer to Tom so we could hear the rantings he was shouting at the audience.
supposedly a 'friend of a friend' bootlegged this show. if i can get a copy, i will get it online pronto.
and i bought a t-shirt. its brown.
