If one were to surgically enhance my nose, and have a
99-meter nose, would I be guaranteed to win 100-meter sprint
races and smash the world record?

it's an interesting idea you have, since I don't think
there's a maximum nose length allowed...

not guaranteed...

cause its possible the other guy could have the same
operation, and run that first meter fast then you.

and besides... i think your body has to cross the finish.
like, if someone was racing, and put out their arm to the
finish, but didnt cross with his body, then it wouldnt count

I think all you need to do is break the ribbon.. but if
there is no ribbon, I dunno. But when they show these pics
of the winner, they don't show him crossing the line with
his body; but touching it with his face.

Or have an operation to lengthen my legs to 50 meters each,
then it would only take one step to cross the finish line.

yes, but he continues across.

its not like they would measure the time his face crossed,
and his body, and compare it to the other guy... cause in
this situation, they are moving so fast... but the point
is, they both continue forward, and cross the line.

if the guy just stopped right in front of it...with his nose
only over the line... i dont think hed win.

I think touching the line is the deal.
But you have a point there..
Perhaps it's touching the line first, but you are obligated
to cross the line.
but that is weird.
But they do not measure, in goal-photos, who completely
passed the line first. It's who touches it.

yes, but they are moving so fast, it would be impossible to
measure, so i think thy just acdcept the first to touch it,
under the assumption thrywill continue over the line
