This is one of my better tracks to date... I think you guys
will dig this, and I REALLY want comments on this, so I'm
going to bump it until I get at least a handful of people to
give some feedback... and of course if I missed your tracks,
I'm always glad to give feedback on anything, just gimme a
thread link or something.

Feeding Ground(bloody koala mix)

My new IBM T40 is coming SOON and I'm moving into a new
house at the end of next week... oh man, so much to do

Thanks in advance for the listen mates

The house I'm moving into is awesome... I got a bedroom in
an 8 bedroom mansion, tennis courts, pool, and a DANCE
FLOOR... oh man... so many parties to throw, so little time

what kinda rich dude are you?
Split the house, and let some poor people live in 4 glowing
rooms. that ought to cheer them up!

Already 8 other people there splitting the rent, a couple
and 7 others... couldn't afford it otherwise, but it's
pretty reasonable this way

ah ok. Well it sounds cool.
I kinda live together with 9 other people...
It works out fine. I guess. most of the time.

regardless

though if I visit the US, I will probably go to the
eastcoast. I have a friend in Florida.

Refreshed Kadath, added a quote to it in the beginning and a
very slight introduction which helps, and remastered a bit
to get some of the bugs out, will upload in a bit... hoping
for some comments on this one before I go to bed

Thanks for the kind words! One person listened before I went
to bed... that's enough for me... more tomorrow before I go
up to Trouble Party 14 and check out Kid606 before he goes
touring

Kadath.mp3 is uploading, and reuploaded Coma.mp3 in the same
directory... enjoy!

It's not bad. I don't want to be negative because you are
so happy about it but it's not really my type of thing.
Startss off really nice sounding as though it is building
into a killer but sort of just goes squishy. It is good,
just not the type of thing I would personally listen to
often.

I dont have permission to access your website/directory.

I liked the Bloody Koala song - that fast guitar thingy
really helps out the track otherwise it would get boring.
I've always liked your tracks and I cant wait to hear the
remastered Kadath.

Good luck with your house.

Good track.

I like the way the natural sounding drums and the effect
hits complement each other. Though the percussion needs a
little extra sauce from 0:20 to 0:45 - something like a
reverb where you're tweaking the knob along with the
rhythm.

There's lots of little details that don't repeat too often
which is nice, like the LFO that plays across the background
pad once in a while.

The nylon guitar patch could stand to break up once in a
while, like a radio signal fading in and out - just a
thought -

I need to get a web site up, as soon as I find someone who
knows what they're doing, Kadath.mp3 is in the same
directory as that one (think with a capital K, it's picky)

Some good suggestions... the guitar does seem a little
overwhelming... I think I'll rework it when I stop listening
to it.

Something about actually completing something that sounds
half-decent makes me want to listen to it too much

sanguine.. that track is fantastic.

the programming behind the drums and the guitar is on
point.. see kids? delay and reverb can go a long way if well
calculated

now did u come up w/ the [sampled?] guitar melodies first or
did you experiment w/ what would work well over the backing
synths?

just out of curiosity..

I would start it differently though.. I was quite turned off
by the beginning.. but I'm telling you the rest of it is
very impressive.

Guitar was just a random line I came up with after I got the
drums laid down and actually is all MIDI... I worked my butt
off making it sound right. Right now I'm trying to do more
things to make certain instruments (piano, guitar, etc)
sound more "human" instead of relying on samples.

excellent work. i really like how the opening gives you a
completely different idea of what the track will be like.

taking a lot of my sweet ass time. (not that i'm using it
though)

damn, that was worth the wait.

i really like the contrast in sounds. the rough bass, the
mellow synth, and the rugged breakbeat. it all comes
together as a well-thought-out and provocative composition.
the guitar line is great and adds even more flavor to the
track.

nicely done.

I love it when people get excited by my music... the easiest
way to convince me I should do more

After this slight... ahem... hangover... from last night's
trouble party and a little bit too much 100 proof peppermint
schnapps, I shall continue my quest for aural perfection and
review a few more tracks up here

yeah i'm the same way. i love it when people enjoy my music.
i mean, i enjoy my music a lot, but its sort of
disheartening if you have no one to share it with.

anyways, i'm actually listening to the track again right
now. :-D odd coincidence.

Edirol Super Quartet, with a little alteration

I normally don't redo songs or even remix them unless I
think it's really necessary, and even then it takes a lot of
convincing.

Not only do I get bored when concentrating on only one
project rather quickly, but I just go from beginning to end
of a track and leave it the way it is. Thank you ADD

Its very nice, dude. However its sounds a bit outdated, with
tha heavy drum sounds !! Anyway, nice track !

Outdated is interesting... don't know how to apply that in
regards to the drum sounds, but glad ya liked it!

offline plaidzebra from so long, xlt on 2003-07-27 22:27 [#00796202]

i agree that the drum sounds feel too heavy, i wish they
were a little more detailed and intricate, and softer. not
sure what is meant by outdated, though. unfortunately the
download failed at 3MB so i only heard the first two minutes
or so of "feeding ground." i really started to like it
after the bass line rolled in, and i thought the guitar was
pretty well done, still sounds a little stiff. i'll have to
try to download another night and see if i can get the whole
track. overall, what i heard sounds great.
