What's your favorite, or if you can bother, how would you rank them?
I like Miller's Crossing personally the best, but the rest are as follows:
Barton Fink Fargo Big Lebowski O Brother Where Art Thou? The Man who wasn't there
Anyway, if there's noone here who likes the brothers Coen, i apologize.

I think most people here like at least one. I haven't seen them all yet, so Lebowski and then maybe Brother and Arizona are my favourites. I never liked Fargo that much.

I love their films. The only one im not overly keen on is Blood Simple.
It's damn hard to pick a favourite, but if I had to it'd probably be Fargo.
I realy like the Hudsucker Proxy, its very underrated in my opinion, critics especialy slated it.

yeah it is. tim robbins is so funny in it, hes a great actor.
its totaly overblown and silly, but that is the point i think. The use of a circle throughout the film is very clever aswell.

i love "Barton Fink" for its nausea and clasutrophobia... that wallpaper-peeling scene is fucking great!!
then "The Big Lebowski" for Jeff Bridges, the "Man who wasn´t there" for its stillness and "Rasing Arizona" for the heroes annoying neighbour and finally i have to see "Blood simple" again to rate it. Oh yeah.... Hudsuccker proxy is amazing too!

Barton Fink is amazing. I didnt "get it" at first, it seemed kinda slow compared to their other films, but its all about symbolism, the decaying hotel room representing Bartons mind etc etc...
John Goodman is sooo good in that film aswell. Hes so funny in the big lebowski and raising arizona, he should be in more films imo.

I totally forgot to put Raising Arizona on my list, but it would be last on there though, just didn't strike me as anything special.
Has enyone here not seen Miller's Crossing, just want to know what you think of it.
I'd also like to mention John Turturro, who's been in many of their films, and i wonder why he's always so underrated.

I really like Millers Crossing, two moments which stick out for me are the little boy and dog in the ally with the body, and the Danny Boy bit. It is probably in my top 5 Coen brothers film list. I have all of their films, I just don't like comparing then and chosing favourites.

Yes, those two scenes are great, and also the part in the woods, where the Turturro character is begging for his life. Superbly acted i thought, but perhaps he's just too unlikeable for peolple to really like him.
Haven't seen Blood Simple either.

Hudsucker! Fukkin critics. Jennifer Jason Leigh's Katharine Hepburn schtick alone is worth the price of admission. The movie was delightful. I'm a sucker for a happy ending - it was almost in the same league as It's a Wonderful Life. Perfect movie to watch on new year's eve with your sweetie if you're having a low-key new years.

I love her... you ever seen Georgia? JJL plays the failed punk sister of a country/western star. She does an acapella cover of a Van Morrison tune that could peel the enamel off your teeth. Riveting.

I watched Fargo today with the commentary track on the DVD. Its done by the director of photography and its good finding out all the really subtle things you hardly notice that they did in the shots.
