 | i take issue with the comment that the piano tracks are there for the sole purpose of helping us take a breather
from the drill tracks... i think more than anything the
 album is all about duality...
 druks

 | Drukqs was never called bad...just that AFX had fone most the stuff already...the really exciting tracks were the ones
where he stretched himself out a bit...that Michael's
mountain whatzhizname track is great...as are 54 welsh
beats...but then again...a lot of the other stuff was old
 hat.

 | Nah he bougbht a new midi keyboard which has sent him broke -- there's aslight chance but he needs to find a ride home
 etc etc etc...
Also he's had bad luck getting into places as he doesn't
 have photo ID....

I'm still gonna try and convince him though ;-)

 | OK: YES!!! Its the best electronic album, and I cant in my wildest dreams think of a better album.

The only one who can top this album is Aphex himself.

Epic tracks like track 10 disc one is just too good to be

 | I LOVE Drukqs so much. Elaborate production that goes over the top, but a little excess is good sometimes. There's also
countless little melodies thrown in that really stick with
me, almost too many to count. They go by so fast that they
maybe don't leave a strong enough impression. But I'm always
paying attention when listening to Drukqs... it's NEVER
 ''playing in the background''.

 | ah I know you like drukqs...
it is one of my fav aphex work, everytime I put it on I
think like "why don't I listen to this more ofthen?"...

But in a way there is some kind of angst or something over
it, it's not very uplifting... I like non-uplifting music,
like placebo and joydivision - it's in fact uplifting in
another way - cause it is beautiful...

aw I can't even give a reason not to listen to it! but it
has got a certain sound, that fits only certain days...

 I really like it though.

anyway. you (or anyone else) know why mr twin choosed that

And Spain has had a few nice artists before...

There's a weird swedish movie called "Picassos äventyr"

 It's quite funny.

 going back to drukqs:

I dont know if it was surrounded who said this was an autumn
album... that makes some relation with what you said about
non uplifting... its true its a warm album... melancolic in
 some way...

the colours in the artwork are very well chosen in my
opinion... they are very much like the mood of the music

extrmely good... my fav on the album...

Nacmat: I used to do that a lot, the album artwork and it's
colour would somehow influence the music inside. With Druqks
though I think of it as 'black' because of the actual CDs.
Especially the second disc, that's verrrry black.

 | one night a couple of friends and I were kinda drunk (not much really) at one of them's house.. and blah to maketh
elong story short.. my friend played druqks and we all ended
up dancing like nuts... it was a very weird experience
because none of us are really into dancing and that stuff...
one of them is a goth guy who appears to be so bitter and
hate everything... and i'm a lazy mofo...

that experience is something we rarely talk about cus it's
kinda embarasing to all of us (but at the same time it's so
fucnny we can't help but tell others the story).

well blah blah this has nothing to du with this post
really.. cus later we danced to squarepusher (but drukqs
 started it all)...

 ---

but bleah... druqks rules and time will prove me right
 you... infidels ; )

*( - wondering how saw2 wasw received by the fans when it
 came out - )*
