I've been caught stealing;
once when I was 5...
I enjoy stealing.
It's just as simple as that.
Well, it's just a simple fact.
When I want something, I don't want to pay for it.
I walk right through the door.
Walk right through the door.
Hey all right! If I get by, it's mine.
Mine all mine!
My girl, she's one too.
She'll go and get her a shirt.
Stick it under her skirt.
She grabbed a razor for me.
And she did it just like that.
When she wants something,
she don't want to pay for it.
She walk right through the door.
Hey all
right! If I get by, it's mine.
Mine all mine!
We sat around the pile.
We sat and laughed.
We sat and laughed and waved it into the air!
And we did it just like that.
When we want something, we don't want to pay for it.
We walk right through the door.
Walk right through the door.
Hey, all right!
If I get by, it's mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine,
mine...

I hate too disagree, but I thought it was terrible. The CD
sounded like at any moment a voice over would kick in and
say "sponsered by Buuuuud, THE KING OF BEERS!" So
commercial, it felt like it was done just to cash in.
There was a quality of desperation that the old CDs had
(like the music HAD to be made) that this one doesn't. I
also thought the production was too slick. I imagine a
clean, sterile recording studio when I hear the new CD,
where as I imagined a dirty, smoke filled studio that
someone was living in with the old CDs. The old CDs felt (to
me) lived in, if that makes any sense. Nothing stands out on
this CD at all to me.
Its not even Janes' Addition to me anyway without Erik
Avery, most of the old jams were written around the bass and
the new guy can play bass, but can't hold a candel to Avery
as far as song writting.

my .02¢

aahhhhhhhhhh
erik avery was a great bass player
no doubts there
he helped to form the band
but didnt even want to be on the reunion tour 2-3 years ago,
flea filled in

isnt this janes addiction cd, better than no janes addiction
cd?
i say hell yeah.

"...but didnt even want to be on the reunion tour 2-3 years
ago,flea filled in"

Thats because one of the things that broke up the band
(other than drugs) was that Erik A wanted more of the share
of publishing than he was getting and Perry said no.

"isnt this janes addiction cd, better than no janes
addiction cd?"

I would say no. Sometimes a band is about the time they
happen and it should be there. Bringing back a band past its
creative prime just tarnishes thier past. IMO

the new cd doesnt tarnish their past at all

remmeber that this cd is about 10 years later

like a lot of bands they ahve mellowed oout as they are
getting older

i still love the cd and dvd

Just my opinion recycle. ;)

I like alot of artist later work, but I'm afraid Janes
won't be one of them. I thought Peter Gabriels last CD was
great actually. Bowie still puts out stuff I like every once
in a while. I liked Front 242s last CD and I'm REALLY
looking forward to Skinny Puppys new one. To me there just
something missing with the new Janes. To me it just dosen't
feel like an album done by artists, it feels like a CD done
by rockstars and I guess thats the difference between say
someone like Bowie and Janes. Bowie can be both.
Well at least I got the first three Janes albums, those
albums are so dense that its got 10 albums worth of goodness
jammed onto 3 CDs.

yepper, they of course sound a bit different, it is 13 years
later, not nearly 1/2 the amount of drugs that they used to
do, but i suppose thats a good thing

did you get the 35 minute dvd w/it ?
