Nah. I just want to listen to their music, not forge a
deeper relationship which will certainly hurt my soul and
theirs...

I'm Saggitarius, so some rude ruffians sometimes give me one
present that serves both my birthday and Christmas. Hate it
hate it hate it. Material things are the best.

MARLOWE! I'm with you on this one ... well, sort of! I'm a
fellow Virgo down to a T, and I definitely a love-hate
relationship with my zodiac sign. Moreso than not, the
problem lies in the fact that i'm not moronic enough, and
not enough of a cunted arsehole who cares enough only for
football, beer and picking up bitches on the weekends. In
short, it's next near to impossible for me to get a
girlfriend for this very reason - the curse of the Virgo, i
suppose!

but alas, here's some famous virgos to keep things sane for
our kind:

Leonard Cohen
Nick Cave
Slug (of Atmosphere)
Adam Sandler
Beyonce (just because she's hot!)

and granted, there are some shite ones out there, such as:

Moby
Michael Jackson
Shania Twain

and Hugh Grant's an in-betweener.

yeah, moby's a twat! but there's a bad seed in every bunch,
i reckon (no pun in regards to nick cave intended).

by the way, try this for shite luck: i share a birthday with
Gloria Estefan of all people (september 1st)! but at least
I'm NUMERO UNO!!!

if you want to find out who's the one who brings your zodiac
sign to shame, here's the link you ought to surf on down
to:

roconthenet.com birthdays

by the by, NEVER TRUST A GEMINI!!! (at least not in a
relationship if you're a Virgo, because they will savagely
break your heart! believe me, i've been there myself!)

but if you really wanna have it rough, try being a CANCER!
you'll have not only King George Dubya Bushie II for
company, but David Hasselhoff (look up 'Big In Germany' in
the dictionary and his picture will be right beside it)
too!

oh yeah, if you're attractive, female and either a
Capricorn, a Taurus or alternately a Virgo or an Aries, i
wanna marry you! =)

(capricorn or a taurus are supposed to make a match made in
heaven for a virgo; other virgos or an aries make for good
couples too, apparently).

i've always heard that virgo is a perfectionist. i sort of
am in these respects. i'm somewhat tidy and i'm very
selective about most everything. well, i guess that's just
being picky.

i feel your pain marlowe. but don't let it get to you. at
times like this, venting your frustrations in a creative
fashion is quite helpful.

write every thought that comes to your head, whether they
link together or not, on a sheet of paper. trust me, it's
therapuetic. you might be surprised what comes out.

for all those disenchanted VIRGOANS out there, here's the
OFFICIAL VIRGO THEME SONG, 'scapegoat' courtesy of SLUG from
ATMOSPHERE:

It's the caffeine, the nicotine, the milligrams of tar
It's my habitat, it needs to be cleaned, it's my car
It's the fast talk they use to abuse and feed my brain
It's the cat box it needs to be changed, it's the pain
It's women, it's the plight for power it's government
It's the way your given knowledge slow with thought control
and subtle hints
It's rubbing it, itching it, It's applying cream
It's the foreigners sight seeing with high beams, It's in my
dreams
It's the monsters that I conjure, It's the marijuana
It's the embarassment, displacement, It's where I wander
It's my genre, It's Madonna's videos
It's game shows, its cheap liquor, blunts, its bumper
stickers with rainbows
It's angels, demons, gods, it's the white devils
It's the monitor, the soundman, it's the motherfucking mic
levels
It's gas fumes, fast food, Tommy Hil, mommy's pill
Columbia House music club, designer drugs and rhyming thugs
It's bloods, cripts, fives, six,
It's stick up kids, It's christian conservative terrorists,
it's porno
flicks
It's the east coast, no it's the west coast
It's public schools, it's asbestos
It's metholated, It's techno
It's sleep, life, and death
It's speed, coke, and meth
It's hay fever, pain relievers, oral sex, and smokers
breath
It stretches for as far as the eye can see
It's reality, fuck it , it's everything but me
On and on and on and on
The list goes on and on and on and on
The list goes on and on and on and on
The list goes on and on and on and on

('scapegoat' continued)

It's in the water, it's in the air, it's in the meat
It's indirect, indiscrete, it's inconsistent, incomplete
It's in the streets, every city everywhere you go
In every man it's the insanity, the fantasys, the
casualties
It's the health care system, it's welfare victims
It's assault weapons, it's television religion, and it's
false lessons
It's cops, police, pigs with badges guns and sticks
It's harassment and a complex you carry when you're running
shit
It's wondering, if you get to eat, it's the heat,
It's the winter , the weather
It's herpes, and it's forever
It's the virus that takes the lives of the weak and the
strong
It's the drama that keeps on between me and my seed's mom
It's that need to speek long, It's the hunger for attention
It's the wack , who attack songs of redemption
It's prevention, It's the first solution
It's loose its out for retribution, it's mental pollution,
and public
execution
It's the nails that keep my hands and feet to these boards
It's the part time job that governs what you can afford
It's the fear, It's the fake
It's clear it can make time stop and leave you stranded in
the year of
the
snake
It's the dollar, yen, pound, it's all denominations
It's hourly wages for your professional observations
It's on your face and it's in your eyes
everything you be
cuz it ain't me mother fucker, cuz it ain't me
On and on and on and on
the list goes on and on and on and on
the list goes on and on and on and on

I think you're right, aphexchrist - I'm very hard on myself
almost constantly - occassionally I'll rebel and stew in a
mire of self-love, but then I'll turn on myself again.
Virgoes don't need anyone else to point out their faults or
criticise their characters - they're more than capable of
doing it themselves.

if gemini's are 'sposed to get around, i sure as hell missed
the mark on that one.

but, i was born a month premature so maybe that screwed with
my sign and i got stuck with the extended periods of

impossible to succe.d

my g/f is virgo and I am sagitarious... shall I break now to
avoid suffering?

marlowe: I have felt that way for a while, when I was
younger I thought astrological signs and the signifigance it
had on your life was bullshit but now the more i read and, I
seem to find out more that I have just grown into being a
virgo, there is nothing that will change that

Does astrology take precession into account? Precession is
the slow wobble of the earth's axis. it changes the
orientation of the constelations in relation to the earth
and sun and moon.

so like if there actually is "something to astrology," what
the hell is it? magic forces? gods?

has there been any actual published research on the subject
like in a reputable journal of science?

i'm just extremely logical and sceptical about anything
mystical.

that shit right there rhymed.

i like to think of astrology as a model. like all models,
it isn't always accurate and it doesn't always apply. but
there are times when it is helpful and/or illuminating to
consult it.
