seems like a sub-par year for brit music if that is the list
they come up with... but i do know that there are some
better releases not on that list... but electronic music
doesn't seem to count for much in the real world (alas)

offline ecnadniarb on 2003-07-23 01:23 [#00790369]

The lasy year has been shit for music in general. Sub par
album releases across the board. Lets hope for an
improvement in the future.

I thought Colplay were supposed to be the new Radiohead, so
going by that they should have done their 'The Bends' by
now. And frankly, A Rush of Blood to the Head is hardly
living up to standards.

anyways radiohead is the best there.

I would be suprised if either Radiohead or Coldplay won,
they normally give the prize to less established groups. I
may be wrong though.

dead-eight - the point of the list is to show the musical
diversity of modern music not just to list lots of
electronica. anyway the best electronic album of the last 12
months IS listed there.

nowadays the winners tend to be judged more on originality
than anything else. whether thats a good thing or not is
open to debate.
