 | yrie - this is very nice, reminds me of boards of canada with the flutes and brass sounds. it is minimal without
becoming boring or repetitive and sort of seems like some of
the music i've been making lately (yours is better of
course!). why is it called "sitari 2" in the mp3 but "yfie"
 for the download?

 i'll get the others tomorrow.

 | ah.... its title is yfie but i forgot to change the id on it... it started as a sitar tune, and i named the work in
progress "sitari" and then i did the brass version, and just
called it #2... forgot all about that... the other 2 would
 have differant names too :S

i could swear ive heard the yfie harmony somewhere before..
i dig the quality of the brass

snow downs lovely. goes hand in hand with all the old boards
ive been listening to lately. i dig how youll just drop the
percussion like that and swing into an extended harmonic
 finish

now the pterodroma track.. i think the rhythms great, if the
samples used were a bit louder / more compressed it would
really knock me around :) harmonies are great. the backup
harmonies in particular really make it. noice!

 | thanks rokken... yeah... yfie + snow down are demos... i released them for upload because i know i'll never finish
them unfortunatly... but they have a nice quality as they
are, so i thought i'd share... as for the pterodroma track,
its still a demo too... but im trying to make something
really cool out of it... korban did the beats, which are
awesome, i've done about 30 differant harmonic versions... i
cant seem to settle on this one... :)

 thanks for listening

 | Snow Down - Similar to Yfie in how it is so simple and beautiful, I think this one sounds even more like BOC (very
much like "In a beautiful place...").

Sysamtix - Very much reminds me of Gescom. Great rhythms
and nice harmonies. I think it might be a little better if
the drum part came back in a little earlier at around 2:20
rather than 2:40. This one is my favorite of the three.
 Very nice work!

 | Nice Artwork BTW!!!
Anyways i am currently listening to snowdown. Interesting
that you picked that name because the ambient melody in the
back reminds me of yagya. Not like 100% but like 63%. Refer
to the album "patterns of a snowflake".

Is has a wintertime feel to it. I don't know why it does but
that is my answer. Seriously, anyone who hasn't listened to
this should and check this out. It is crazy. All i can think
 of is snow.

Moving Along. I like the crunchiness that you have for the
beat. It just fits. Although this song should be alot
longer. Maybe because i have an altered state of mind....
but maybe 7 minutes would be better?

Where is this yfie song? It isn't on the site.

 | Sysamtix - Ahhh the tell tale start of a large angry mammel scrunching out a Queenish bass line.

Catchy, moves along nicely. Good choice to drop out the
white noise around 1:35, simplifies, shows off some other
parts. Energy drops a lot there, gets a little open as the
ambient/melody comes in then doesn't add anything new which
was a little dissapointing.... but it's a demo, good start
 for something neat.

I want more happening with the melody, it seems to come in
as a totally different part than the rest of the song. I
don't know how to describe it either, the mastering isn't
bad, it just sounds detached, more layered than composed and
integrated? That's not bad at all, but it means you can do
some interesting things... bass notes on the hits of the
melody, so it sounds more like they're following one
another, so the melody and the background become integrated,
and back out again. I don't know if that makes sense...
maybe I can find an example someplace. Also gave me some
interesting ideas for something I think I'll pursue...

Will listen to the other two later, still reeling from
Squarepusher last night... bliss man, total aural bliss

 Cheers!
