 | I need a site w/ cheap cds (no markup) that has a nice selection (cheap-cds.com's selection with cdbaby.com's
prices) as cheap as possible and as expansive as possible

 | If you want a great selection of music in VBR mp3 format join EMusic for 10-15$ a month.

They have tons of stuff from small interesting indie labels,
and some of the bigger ones too - Beggars/4AD, Matador,
Force Inc., also lots of jazz, metal, punk, weirdness...

I think the labels get ten cents a download which is awesome
considering they have zero marginal costs for reproduction.

 | Are you getting a cut for B&N referrals?
I usually have to go to insound.com or forcedexposure.com
for the weird stuff, but I'm saving about 15% on 'normal'
stuff over what I used to pay on Amazon.

 So thanks for the tip.

 | no i'm not getting a cut but i've referred enough people there (simply cos it's the cheapest way to get non-obscure
or import cd's online that i know of) that i think i'll set
up a webpage that has my instructions on it and a referral
link to bn.com since it'll make me some $. but that idea
occured to me like 6 months ago and i haven't cared enough
to set up the page yet, so obviously i'm only saying this to
 save people $.
