i heard a couple of songs on the radio the other dau and they sounded so damn good what do you think about them what album to get as a start? any other bands similar style? |

jazzy stuff from the ninja stables: skalpel cinematic orchestra chris bowden other (not ninjaz but still warriors) jazzanova nu spirit helsinki the new lp by cinematic orchestra "the man with the movie camera" is fokin great, some tracks from their "every day" album are taken from this soundtrack. |

jaga jazzist is phenominal.. . and if you go back to their other label.. . smalltown supersound.. . you find tons of other good artists.. . norway rules. .. |

I got a promo copy of The Styx for £2 from a local record shop. OK for a couple of tracks, but a whole album becomes somewhat tiring. |

the bands that are namechecked in their press actually probably are the closest - tortoise and stereolab. possibly telephon tel avail. but they're pretty unique, i like them. |

i really dont care for ninjatune much at all, theyre in my category of somewhat lousy labels(not always), including tigerbeat6(rupture is awesome though) too. smalltown supersound is great though, i dont know why they switched. |

*blushes* I downloaded some song the other day, it said: cinematic orchestra - jaga jazzist It was immediately my favorite song by "CO", but now that I see it ain't a song from "CO", I'll have to revise my favorites and check out more of jaga jazzist. |
