 | hail definetly isn't a function of season.
Hail is basically the result of a large thunderstorm type
system that has a large updraft. As it rains, the rain
freezes, but then is forced back up, where it melts a bit,
 gathers more water, freezes, etc.

Eventually the weight of the ice particles is more than the
updraft will support and you get hail.

Typical in Spring iirc, warm dense air mixing with cold.

Hail can do lots of damage if it gets to any size bigger
 than a pea.

 | whoa, bigger than a pea should signal relatively severve weather.

That size gets pretty close to denting cars. I don't know
the next size up to relate to a pea, but if gets bigger, you
 are ubber fucked.

 | typical of a storm cell, quick to move over an area with the pressure of the front.

Glad to hear it didn't fuck shit up, cuz I'm sure you've
seen the footage of hail the size of golfballs and shit.

 that wrecks cars and people.
