"Richard has been here...He has even posted at least one
message. I know this and I have evidence. :-)"

care to tell us more about that, phob?

Ophecks on 2001-10-30 19:12 [#00047084]

Yeah!!!!

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-10-30 19:29 [#00047088]

Well, I have not really investigated deeply into this, but
the Rephlex crew usually monitor (and interact) with this
messageboard and I know Rich posted a message here some
weeks ago. He wrote something like "contact my record label,
silly".

phobiazero: whatever happened to my custom artwork picture
with the lobster? was it promptly thrown out?

balthus from europe on 2001-10-30 20:12 [#00047092]

wow, great. and now i want an erik satie and igor stravinsky
messageboard, where they are posting from the... beyond...

erik:
'you are an ass, but an ass without music.'
'To write my Piéces Froides i used a caleidophon-recording
apparatus. It took seven minutes.' (sounds familiar...
didn't aphex state something that not he, but his computer
did some of his music?)
(original quotes)

Xanatos from NYC on 2001-10-30 21:21 [#00047128]

Phobia: Which thread was that he posted under? I did a
search and was unable to come up with a specific topic.

Also...if Rich creates the programs to write his music, than
in a way, its still his music, right?

i saw that message

Mr_Deft from Keele, UK on 2001-10-31 01:24 [#00047290]

His Pieces Froides are the greatest. I didn't know they were
generative though. Guess that's what inspired John Cage to
write all those pieces based on coin flips and the
I-Ching... which must have inspired Brian Eno and his
generative malarky... Which I guess must have been
indirectly where RDJ got it all from... Yeah, stuff. Satie
rules.

Bogus on 2001-10-31 01:28 [#00047291]

.....
this is hard to say but....

actually i posted that

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-10-31 09:48 [#00047439]

Bogus: Eh, but you're posting from Mexico. How do you
explain that?! ;-)

balthus from europe on 2001-10-31 10:03 [#00047441]

mr deft - in the same text, Satie states that he also played
the pieces to his butler. the writings by Satie are really
as funny as his music is beautiful and deep.

Richard D. James on 2001-10-31 12:18 [#00047481]

I serious doubt that Richard posted that message.

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-10-31 12:59 [#00047494]

The IP belongs to Rephlex HQ.

Ophecks on 2001-10-31 13:17 [#00047497]

That's scary, that webmasters know IPs.

Xanatos from blah on 2001-10-31 16:43 [#00047553]

blah

Joyrex from joyrex.com, of course! on 2001-10-31 16:56 [#00047573]

It was probably Grant.

Richard's IP does not originate from Rephlex's HQ.

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-10-31 18:00 [#00047614]

Well, several people from the rephlex crew use to hang
around here. so.... I'll investigate.

Baron Von Picklefoot from My special place ! on 2001-10-31 19:34 [#00047627]

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-10-31 22:21 [#00047657]

He has only used ONE previous alias. So, I'm not gonna give
out his name. Well, if he do it again I certainly will!!!

Xanatos from NYC on 2001-10-31 23:00 [#00047652]

Phobiazero, what are the other Handles of the 'Xanatos from
Blah' who posted 'blah' up there?
