documentary on him earlier...

he personally touched me in 1996 when performaintg grace on
the late show just before his album release...

his version of leonard cohen's 'hallelujah' is incredible

so sad he drowned, so sad.. (comparison with his father?.. i
was a fan of tim before i heard of jeff)

amazing voice

amazing songwriter

anyone who hasnt heard of him will do no harm in listening
to his 1st and only proper album "grace"

fucking genuis. period.

PJ Harvey wrote a song about him (and his death), called
"Memphis".

it's a B-side on the "Good Fortune" singles.

nice song, pretty emotional.

I liked grace alot apart from the real slushy stuff.

His stuff is really odd to play on the guitar ass well, it
takes alot of learning.

I have Grace. Tis a mighty album. When I worked in a crappy
warehouse I used to make compilation tapes to listen to all
day on my walkman and Hallelujah would go on a fair few of
them.

man, earthleakage, you are seriously fucking stupid.
a lot of people here probably like jeff buckley, a lot of
those probably like autechre and such as well. i am one of
those.
you shouldn't expect an onslaught of responses just because
you make a topic about an artist you are a fan of; you
definitely shouldn't start some babyish whinge when this
doesn't happen. you essentially just called everyone on this
board ignorant because they failed to respond to your
pathetic thread within like 10 minutes.
and the "i'll keep him to myself" - heh, nice one.
prick

I know a Jean Buckley. She works downstairs. She's about
five foot two, skinny. Old. I'd say about 55. Always a
slightly puzzled expression on a prune like face. Dominating
the prune like face is a spider like moustache, with coarse
black hairs the size of twiglets. She drinks a bottle of
vodka a day, stirred into her tea. She is responsible for
annual road accident figures.

earthleakage, you have a warped idea of yourself being
superior to others on this board because of the fact that
you know who jeff buckley.

you seriously deserve a good kick to the face. grow the fuck
up, and don't be so pretentious and condescending.

on another note, i'd reccommend the jeff buckley dvd/vhs
'Live in Chicago', recorded in the Cabaret Metro about half
a year before his death. A Great concert.

Kumbaya my Lord, Kumbayaaa... kiss and make up.

The Buckleys are great, one of the best father-son duos
ever. Better than the Dylans if you average them both out
for sure. Butter than the Iglesias', probably. Grace is
awesome, and I love his version of The Boy with the Thorn in
His Side.
