Warp Records-hater on 2001-10-30 16:15 [#00047051]

I don't know who had this stupid idea, probably Warp
Records...

I hoped I could throw away my hifi-system one day, as I only
listen to CDs from computer. Now those assholes, yes
assholes, made a protection so I can't listen to Aphex Twin
while working on my computer. Do they think I'm going to
download the tracks as MP3 and pay even more (-> phonebill)
to listen to Aphex Twin? Bastards.

There also something strange about that, I wanted to know if
the CD really doesn't work on computers and hey, the first
time it worked. After I turned off my computer and tested it
again, my CD-ROM drive suddenly refused to play the CD (kept
on loading it). I suppose something has been changed in the
registry or whatever?

Hmm

It seems to work fine on my pc...

Here's what you could do (in steps)
1. Get a cord that goes from your cd player headphones
socket to your soundcard's line-in socket.
2. Record every song (using audio recorder or similar
software) from the line-in.
3. Burn the songs to cd, and there you go, a nice cdrom
drive friendly cd! This way you can compile your favourite
songs onto one cd, if you so wish, and it should be legal,
because you're only making copies for yourself..

Better not, I already tried that once. There's too much
noise with this method.

Umm... I just need them as MP3, that'll be fine too. ;)

1 get some money
2 buy a cd player

or

1 get a cord
2 wrap it around your neck
3 kill yourself while singing 'we are the world' in
japanese.

oh and its a good thing you hate warp now!
cause richard does too.
and if you didnt you just wouldnt be 'hardcore' afx fan
material would'cha?

Warp Records-hater on 2001-10-30 16:54 [#00047070]

What's wrong with you guy? I'm absolutely no hardcore fan,
this is only the 2nd Aphex Twin CD I bought.

What does this have to do with having money or buying a CD
player if I _want_ to listen to the CD using my PC?

You take the 'hate' thing way too serious, I just took this
name because I felt like ranting and didn't know of any
other nickname.

yeah, you're right.
'hate' can mean you think warp is a-ok, right.
