btw, austnet is an irc chat room

for those of you that don't know.

download da merk (www.mirc.com)

in the connect window, choose austnet (or /server
irc.austnet.org)

once you're there, type in #idm into the channel connect
window (or /join #idm)

and you should see our ugly faces there!

yeah, efnet require you to run an ident server, otherwise
they refuse you to connect.

absolutely and utterly retarded, imo. identd serves for no
purpose at all; i think it was meant to be some form of
verifying your identity, but its so damn stupidly easy to
fake it simply isn't funny.

and also if not, when the ident request doesn`t work it uses
your ip; never had troubles connecting

herm, no kidding. i don't use mirc (not a windows user),
and generally don't like running identd servers at all.
