since no one ever cares when I bring up one band, I thought
I'd post a slew of good rock bands that aren't getting
enough attention.

good.music.matters

you can stream and d/l most of the songs but come on try out
some new tunes and support hard working artists that haven't
even had a chance to sell out yet.

oh come now, I'm not talking about one band, this is a
collection of bands you can stream from one site.

come on...........this makes me sad :(

Sorry dude. You really get the cold shoulder when you
mention any type of rock band most of the time. I wish I
could say I gave it a listen, but I wouldn't want to lie. I
do have a few friends that listen to some of this music and
others you've mentioned, so I'm familiar with a bit of it.
Just remember, you can always throw radiohead in somewhere
and it'll probably get more attention. :)

yeah, I know man.

I don't mean to be a dick, but I love hearing everyone
suggestions.

Titsworth suggests rap, of course everyone spams their own
idm stuff.

I'm just trying to spread a little love for the rock, and
TonePusher is the only one who ever cares.

I think even idm kids could appreciate some of this. I
don't like, oh whatever, sorry, but it's frustrating.

Ever listen to dillinger escape plan or the red chord?

dillinger escape plan I've heard, red chord no.

we'll i recommend both of them highly (dillinger a little
more) but from what i've heard you recommend you may not
like them too much, but you never know. i'd try to describe
it but i'm not too informed on all the genres and subgenres
and whatever. the red chord is very fast, metal / filled
with blastbeats / technical whatever i don't know.

actually one band i didn't think of earlier that you may
like is elliott, if you haven't heard of them. their second
album 'false cathedrals' is amazing.

well, i've got to get up in about 6 hours. time for bed.

goodnight. :)

I'm not into metal much, but unlike most people here, I'll
actually check it out and listen to it.

I just don't understand, there is so much diversity to
appreciate in music, and come on, is my taste a sold out
culture?

i suggest "rap" because everyone else here already has
electronic music covered.. i suggest some other things too,
but you're right, definitely heavy on the hip-hop.

i've had a lot of success with getting people to listen to
broadcasts of my college radio show on here. although it's
largely electronic, besides hip-hop, i actually manage to
sneak in quite a bit of rock. ok so it's not pop rock but
still, it's probably some of what you're talking about.
browse some of my playlists (most of which i must say flow
really well together and make a compelling mix) because it
might give you some ideas on how to attract more attention
to your broadcast (ie: how to mix in the rock you want
people to hear).
