for more info.

they use books to dice their tomatoes. that being said, i'd
hate to get a papercut from whichever books they're using!

let me just say, we dissected starfish my freshman year of
highschool in biology, and they were the most disgusting
thing we had to deal with. they are filled with a green
mush...it was revolting.

Brains didn't really develop until vertebrates really.
Arthropods, and mollusks have nerve clumps, kind of like a
brain, but more just a central bundle where all the nerves
hook together, like our spinal cord. Scientists recently
discovered fish's brains aren't capable of a cognitive level
complex enough to feel pain even. It's okay to eat fish,
because they don't have any feelings.

on the contrary, i was on a fishing boat with my dad and
some of his colleagues, and one of them caught a halibut,
and he was trying to cut part of the halibut's gill to let
all the blood out. grotesque, i know, but get this; the
halibut's fins were abnormally braced, as if it were in
great pain, which i assume it was. so perhaps fish (at least
the halibut) can actually feel pain.

it's called a reflex. kind of like blinking when something
startles you. it doesn't require your cognitive awareness
of it

yeah hes right.. its just a reflex.. in response to the body
of the fish getting cut open..

well, i recently was dining in a resteraunt and it was one
of those ones where you selct your own fish from an
aquarium. So i selected this particularily juicey looking
snapper and whent the chef went to scoop him out i clearly
heard ç

"Don´t you fucking throw me into no goddamn frying pan
motherfucker. It hurts like a bastard and i´ll fucking
choke you to death, sunshine!"
i opted for veal instead

well well.. . someones not keeping up with the news.. .
apparently fish CAN feel pain.. . they been studying them
more and have accertained that they indeed feel pain.. . why
wouldnt they ?

and on the subject of brains.. . I have heard of people that
can live and function at normal to above normal intellect
without an actual cerebrum.. . so it makes you wonder what
the actual role of the brain really is.. . Im pretty sure
its just an over glorified receiver. ..
