I dont want a wackintosh.. but I do want a laptop that's good for making music (midi), dvds, games inet and that.. that's it.. and for doing papers and shit.. what would be the absolute best laptop that would fulfill these purposes.. and would an edriol midi controller work on a non-mac laptop??

I had one to, but i now have a "wackintosh" vaio is the only pc laptop to get imo.
my mates bought a 2.5 dell laptop and its fast as fook but very noisy.

oh and you could fry an egg on it it gets that hot . no joke we got worried about it .
vaios are very well built , my old one was only a p2 with 128 mb ram but i loved it so!

IBM Thinkpad T40! I'd so love one of those - built like tanks and filled with premium innards.
A Vaio would be okay too though, I'm sure. ;)
