well the spam level on this board seems to be dangerously
low lately, so i bring you this track i made :P

it is called "glowing structure" and it is one of the most
ambient and minimal song i have written. as it progresses
more and more layers of sound are added. it is also pretty
long (8:38) but luckily there is streaming available to dial
up users like me :D i probably would have made it even
longer but i was really pushing my computer to the limit
(running buzz with 12 vst synths + effects on win xp with
only 128 mb ram is not very nice).

any way get it right here at soundclick

please leave feedback + thank you for listening + im sorry

I wasn't expecting something so harsh and uncompromising as
that considering the title!

Were you going for ambient? If so, it kind of works, more as
noise ambient though, perhaps the low quality has thrown me.

Overall I liked it, even if the texture (know what I mean)
disagreed with me. Nice little melody... sounded like it was
building up to something big. Could've done with the tune
being in the foreground instead of background though, would
have been better. Good work anyway!

thank you for your feedback.
sorry if the title/genre description confused you, i don't
know much about different genres of music and their names
and what is what... i often find it hard to define things
because i don't know the terms related to types of music,
and techniques used in making music.

about the low quality... i was going for this purposely. i
added a bit of static-like sound to the whole and put
different parts through various distortion filters and the
entire track through a fairly strong reverb, to give the
song a "hazy" feeling.

It's a good track.

The ambient backbone is nice, with a good chord progression
as well. I'm not too sure about the discordant procussion
and all, it seems to be a bit too desultory in my opinion.
Overall I'd give it an 8/10 though. It kept me interested,
and I can't say that for many songs posted on this board.
