learned important lesson tonight

I found out tonight, the importance of seperating your
heart, from your mind.

My girl and I are taking a break from our relationship for a
bit, maybe forever, but it isn't all bad.

We both still care, the manifestation of that just wasn't
going where either of us wanted.

When you let your heart or mind control all you do, you
loose balance, and drama insues.

When the heart and mind work together, only occasionally
working on their own, the results are at least
understandable, and always tolerable.

Sometimes their for the better.....

sorry, this is a self medicating post or so, lord knows I
spam the board with enough relationship crap to drown us
all.

I just never saw, really, I never noticed, that the mind and
heart can work as one, or independently, but only if you are
true to both. If you don't listen to your head, or follow
your heart, your fucked.

You get all confused, lost, and the issues that need to get
dealt with, just get left there.

My heart is in love, but the brain realizes I need other
things, practical, rational things. Sometimes it's the
other way around, and you just gotta have faith.

I learned someting I was astonished to not know before
though, that working together, everythings better.

when they work seperatly, but together, we'll the results
might not be what either wanted, but you shouldn't come out
any worse for ware.

I hear that sometimes you need to let one say more than the
other, sometimes you just need to listen to your heart, but
if mostly they work together, and I never thought that was
possible, then you have a little less pain in life.

i ruined the best relationship i had with my mind. but i've
been my mind all my life. i guess after the relationship
though is when i realized that. i wanted a second chance and
so did she, so we took it, but it didn't go anywhere. now
we're just in limbo because she says cant handle a
relationship right now, but we still hang out. i dont
know...i guess i'm becoming my mind again because i'm trying
not to care so much about someone i may never have again,
but the little bit of my heart keeps her in my life.

whoa, that is kinda just where I'm at.

haven't taken the second trip around, though we pretty much
planned to, just need to sort things out, and take time to
ourselves.

it's ok to let go mate though, if your heart is there, but
the mind has shown again and again that it isn't working,
then it's ok to say, hey, I love you, but we don't work. I
wish we did, and we tried, but it just doesn't work :(

it's ok to cut your loses, I had to, and we'll see where it
goes from here.

i like BlatantEcho because he represents the everyday
working man. :D

also the mind is or has more to do with the heart than it
does the brain. The brain just keeps the shell going but the
heart and soul run the operation!

definetly agree.

I just really learned today, that if they aren't all
talking, well, your fucked.

when they do, the operation goes smooth, and you know what,
I like that a lot better than the opposite.

kinda lonely this morning, knowing no one is really dyeing
to see me, or drive down and hop in my bed, but there isn't
any of that suicidal depressed stuff.

so me thinks this all works out fine.

though.

I'm starting to believe, that if a girls 30+ minutes away,
then don't even bother.

someone elses advice, but I find truth in it now.

man, you have got to be like the most beautiful person on
this message board

me and my girlfriend used to take breaks, i know what you
mean where it kind of gets to the point where you're like "i
think i need a time out"

not like to get with other girls at all just so you can kind
of be alone with your thoughts and sort your own shit out
with out having to drag her into it.

i know my emotional part and thinking part are kinda
separated, but the emotional is dominating more and more and
sometimes i have the feeling i cannot think anymore... and
of course i know i can't go on like this, i need to
re-equilibrate the balance.

but i'm in no love relationship, i've never been in one -
and i don't want to. =)

> so you consider him as a thing?
turtles are alive, and have feelings too... =(
