wayout from a plastic bubble on 2001-10-29 02:16 [#00046487]

sorry for the spam...but i've been using some new
software/techniques in my music making exploits (like using
actual melody!) and am interested in seeing what you pundits
think of my new creations...

anyways, go here if yer interested:

http://www.ampcast.com/wayout

and if your not, well, sorry.

I guess my mp3 player will only play 1/2 of a song now as it
stopped almost exactly in the middle of your 2 new ones and
amb1 again. They're both great from what I heard, the bottom
one was making patterns using volume alone in the drums
which was cool (and daylight savings time turned into quite
a nice title :), I often think that volume isn't used enough
as an element of composition in songs. The top one was nice
and mellow/ambient. I really like amb1, how it engulfs too.
I'll most likely download all your creations when I get a
new computer, does ampcast let you create and sell cd's?

yeah syd, storm drifts was just sort of a doodle...and yes
m, i believe ampcast does have some sort of cd program..im

thanks for listening guys

m, i checked out their cd program, and it looks pretty
easy...and free! (for me)
the minimum that you can sell cds for is about $7...i'd
probably do this as im not looking to make any money...but
im probably going to wait a little bit until i have more
quality tracks....you can email me if youre interested
though...the concept of having music i made on an actual cd
sounds pretty neat actually..i hadn't thought about it until
now..

mp3.com has a cd program doesnt it? maybe we can trade...as
your stuff is pretty neat as well..

wayout, you should check out www.geocities.com/davidviolence
the song "12 color cups" (see I write down all these links,
heh heh... yours is on there somewhere too.) His song also
seems to really engulf in drum flames (has a lot of white
noise though).

Keep working on the cd, no rush. Mine's not ready either
anyway... glad you like it. That'd be cool to trade, perhaps
we could lessen the cost by not going through the 3rd party
of mp3com or ampcast and just mailing them to eachother (if
you have a cd burner. (that way mine can be 256k not 128
like mp3com demands) just a thought...

wayout from a plastic bubble on 2001-10-30 17:34 [#00047079]

thats a good idea m, ampcast allows me to order a free
sample cd for myself (as i dont have a burner..)..they also
allow you to upload 256k mp3s which is neat...

thanks for the link, ill check it out later...

you should check out http://www.micromusic.net

its a music community like ampcast or mp3.com but its
devoted to tracker- made music, much like your own...i set
up an account there, you should too, its free

also, cylob and lektrogirl seem to post tracks there
occasionally...
