there's a big music sale @ van leest here in the netherlands. I bought radiohead - pablo honey (not a very good record, but it was the only album by radiohead which I didn't have an original copy of) and bjork - greatest hits, together for 15 euros (about $15). It has been pretty crowded there since they started this sale. I bet the total sales are doubled. Why can't they lower the prices everywhere? That'd be a gigantic step in the right direction for record labels and especially the musicians. |

you dont know much about economy do you? example: 1) 100 cds for 10 EUR = 1000 EUR - 100 EUR production = 900 EUR 2) 30 cds for 20 EUR=600 EUR - 30 EUR production = 570 EUR see, its logical! i know all about it :) |

Well, I said sales must be doubled. But if they're doubled that'd mean that they'd earn 16 euros instead of 20. So if the sales'll be double doubled it'll be better for the labels ;) |

yes of course it's runned by morons. 22 euros for a fucking record is just too expensive. Look at the stats, record prices have doubled in the last 5 years here in holland. If you sell them for a low price, people WILL buy them. We won't download albums when they're 8 euros in the shop. At least most of us won't. You'll have the original record with the original booklet, you'll support the musician and pay just 5 euros more for it. |

I've maintained for the longest time, if full albums cost $11 or so dollars, after tax and all that shit, I'd buy albums. But @ $15 to $18, I just can't. That's like a weeks worth of food for me. oh well, fuck 'em |

correct answer. Then follow my advice and buy her greatest hits cd. It's also 7,99. I also like what she does, but I can't listen to a whole album. This greatest hits cd is great tho, very electronic and symphonic. Worth buying, especially in our case. |
