CD Wallets good?

What's the deal with CD wallets? I treat my CD's like
little delicate puppies, so I don't want to increase the
likelihood of scratches. Whatya think guys?

they suck... they scratched up a lot of my cds...

but on the other hand, dragging 30 jewel cases with you on
holiday sucks as well..

i have a hard case, very compact which holds 50, and
contains cd teeth like in normal cd cases, much better.

i have a 6-cd wallet for little rises, a 50-cd wallet for
longer ones, and a 10-cd one too that i got free from a
bank.
the good thing is that you don't break the cases, and it is
more practical!

i never had any scratches with them, just treat them
carefully as you usually do i don't think there will be any
problem (i think)

I have all my original CDs in these wallets in the back of a
dark closet. I only use copies. CDRs are so cheap why risk
scratching an original CD?

actually, i have one of those cases... and while it works
pretty well, i find it comes open sometimes... and then the
cds fall out... a real pain in the ass

whenever I carry cd's around with me, I store them into
little singles cases, so that I do not destroy the original
cases, cd wallets are good to 'store' but if you're going to
be at them all the time, pulling them in and out, a normal
case is definitely better

I put my CDs in a wallet. But using a wallet is basically
asking for your CDs to be scratched. BUT I put the CD's
booklet under the CD to prevent those shitty fibers in the
wallet's fabric from scratching my shit. It looks cooler
too

Same here. I rip all my originals to my computer and then
store them away so nothing happens to them.

i used to use a big 200 cd case so i could carry them around
but i suspected it was causing scratches on my cds so i put
them back in the original jewel cases and put them on a
cd-rack. now i just use minidisc or take only a few cds at
a time when i go somewhere.
